- Juliet81 contributionsInteresting entertaining and informativeOur guide Sadhbh was excellent. She said she was new to the job but seemed very knowledgable! She engaged well with everyone and made it a very interesting and entertaining hour! I particularly enjoyed learning about how the company started and how they use traditional methods and work with the local farmer. We loved the tastings at the beginning and end too.Dear julietwithmenagerie, Thanks so much for your super review. We are delighted you enjoyed your visit to Dingle Distillery as well as learning a little and sampling too. We will certainly pass on your comments to Sadhbh and thank you for taking the time to pass on your obsevations to us- we know she'll be thrilled! Sláinte mhaith! - Enolil13Tacoma, Washington55 contributionsDistilling 101This was a great experience for my group. We were led by Marie who was engaging and humorous. We were able to get to close and personal to the process and see the workers in action. I am a gin lover but actually enjoyed the vodka and whiskey as well. They helped me find a local distributor so I can buy their products back home and not have to worry about transporting it.Hi, Thank you so much for coming to see us and for leaving your review. Marie will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed yourself! We hope we get to welcome you to the distillery here in the future and that you enjoyed the rest of your trip. Sláinte! - vkel4Limerick, Ireland14 contributionsUp close and personal tourEnjoyed a really great visit to Dingle Whiskey Distillery. Marie is a gem of a guide—her enthusiasm is infectious and her knowledge, extensive. From the get-go, it was clear that she has a deep passion for whiskey and the art of distillation. She guided us through the intricate process with a lively energy that kept everyone engaged. Her storytelling was rich with history and anecdotes, making the tour not only informative but also incredibly entertaining. She explained the background to the distillery and guided us through each step of the gin, vodka, and whiskey-making process, ensuring that everyone could appreciate the complexities involved. Her ability to convey technical details in an accessible and enjoyable manner is truly commendable. One of the highlights of the tour is actually peering into the casks and taking in the smells of the different steps of the process. The tours are relatively small and take part in the actual working distillery. Whether you’re a whiskey aficionado or a curious newcomer, I highly recommend a tour of this distillery. And if you’re lucky enough to have Marie as your guide, you’re in for an extra special treat. Cheers to Dingle Whiskey Distillery and to Marie for her remarkable passion and expertise!Dear vkel4, Wow - thank you so much for that amazing review. We are so delighted you enjoyed your visit to Dingle Distillery and equally delighted that Marie looked after you so well. You are correct in you observation - she is a gem and we are lucky to have her as part of our team. She will be thrilled with your comments. This tour was amazing- very interesting and we got history of the distillery but also local knowledge. Sadhbh, our tour guide was fabulous- local to the area which made for a more interesting tour as she gave us lots of facts about Dingle too. Tastings were great and it’s a home made, sustainable, environmentally friendly company. If you want a genuine, authentic distillery experience they don’t get better than this. Thanks :)Dear ljh288, Thank you for this superb review of Dingle Distillery! We are delighted you enjoyed your visit. - adoniskebabOldham, United Kingdom29 contributionsThat's the spirit for surewe were really pleased we decided to do the Dingle distillery tour . It was informative and felt more personal and hands on than the usual big distillery tours , plus it had the added bonus of Gin and Vodka tasting . The guide was amazing and took time to explain ( sometimes twice) the full process involved . We never felt rushed and all enjoyed our tipples along the way and the lovely drink at the end . I know space is probably tight for this small distillery but i am sure they could benefit from expanding the shop range at the end of the tour. All this said it was a fantastic experienceHi adoniskebab, Thank you so much for your kind words! We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit with us and we really apprieciate you taking the time to come see us and for the review. Do come see us again if you get the opportunity! - Randy G26 contributionsGreat Stop! After nixing plans to visit a larger distillery at a previous destination, we decided to go tour the Dingle Distillery, which was just a five minute walk from our B&B. Were we ever so glad we made the effort! The tour was small, the guide was great, and the experience was so worth it. Getting to taste their gin, vodka, and multiple whiskeys was over and above. We are now on a mission to try and order some of their whiskeys here in the US. (The gin, vodka, and single malt are readily available but some of the other whiskeys -- our preferred -- are not, sadly.) Make sure you buy what you want in town there.Dear 467randyg, Thank you for your wonderful review and delighted to hear that you really enjoyed our selection of products which are all made here in our little distillery in Dingle town. Thank you for making the effort to visit us and for taking the time to post a review - we very much appreciate it! We love what we do and are extremely proud of it too! On a side note you may be able to source some of our small batch whiskeys through the US version of our website. Wishing you much happy sipping! What a destination! After travelling for a few hours to reach Dingle we decided to do a tour of the Dingle Distillery and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide Niamh was so professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastically passionate about her hometown distillery that we couldn’t help but be inspired. The tasting of Vodka, Gin (yum🤤) and Single Malt whisky was balanced with helpful tips and information followed by a walk through the active brewing area. I have been to many distilleries and this was by far the best. Thanks Niamh and the Dingle Distillery staff.

My wife and I love touring the UK on the bike and stopping at distilleries along the way.
Dingle is one of the most unique Irish distilleries there is... Its raw and gritty but full of history and creates some fantastic whiskey!
Our tour guide was Kathleen and the tour itself was informative and light hearted, and unlike Alot of larger distilleries you can take pictures whenever you want.
If your in the area I think this wee tour is a bargain. The only disappointing thing is that you can't buy a bottle directly from the distillery... But you can from. Plenty of local suppliers.
Cool wee spot, friendly staff and all round a great wee experience.
Thanks gyys!

This is a hidden gem a bit outside of town, but walkable from the town center. Dingle is a family owned crowd-funded distillery that makes a single malt whiskey, an enhanced gin and a vodka. Tours are held in small groups, with tastings at the beginning and end of the tour. A bonus is a complimentary mixed drink at the end. No retail purchases are available here, but the Dingle spirits are widely available in Town. The tours are about one hour, take you right through the actual processing facility and there is much history to learn about the company, town distillation procedures.

This was our fourth tour of distilleries in Ireland and one of the best. It is not a big operation, but the guide was very enthusiastic and understood the process very well. When not a guide, he is working in the distillery making gin, vodka, and whiskey.
This was the first time I was able to get into the actual distillation area while there was active fermentation. It was amazing watching the tubs with yeast bubble, swirl, and foam. The smell was incredible and it gave me a greater appreciation of the craftsmanship required.
The tour included tastes of gin, vodka, and whiskey, with another drink added at the end of the tour.
The Distillery is definitely worth visiting.

I love whiskey and now I know so much about it! I'm not a gin or vodka drinker but the samples we tried were delicious- and I also know how they made it taste so remarkable.
Our guide was a good communicator, he didn't bamboozle us with loads of science or boring facts, he made if really interesting and enjoyable.
A word of warning- eat well before you go!

More than the standard distillery tour! I really learned some things about spirits and distilling. Our tour guide was extremely engaging and informative and it did NOT feel like a typical "canned" narrative. This distillery won the world championship for their gin in 2019 and it really is that good. The Centra store in Dingle had an incredible sale on it while we were there so I took advantage of that! They make vodka, gin, and whiskey and the tour finished with your choice of one of four cocktails. I highly recommend this tour!

Faye was a delightful tour guide for our whiskey tour! We had a look around the distillery - it is still a growing company so you can still see things being done on the floor and really take in what is happening.
The tasting part was fascinating and we were able to try some batches that we would never have been able to source otherwise
Highly recommend this. We strolled over from the town. Faye suggested that 11.30 tour would see more work in action than later tours.

This was our second distillery visit during our trip and while it wasn't quite as intimate as the first, it was still a very small group and David took the time to answer all our questions and share his vast knowledge of Irish whiskey and distilling with us. The samples of the whiskey and gin were fantastic and the tour of the distillery is just plain cool. They don't have a license to sell alcohol on the premises, but bottles can be purchased in the nearby supermarket in town. I highly recommend this tour if you are in Dingle and have an interest in Irish Whiskey.

We have been on numerous distillery tours, and in each one, I left with a better understanding of the product offering. Our guide was amiable - and very knowledgeable about the technical aspects of distilling vodka, gin, and whiskey - but every time we asked a question to help distinguish Dingle, the answer was "the same as any Irish whiskey." Clearly, the distillery has focused on marketing (attractive logo, name font, distillery building), but they haven't spent enough effort on the tour staff. We left unenthusiastic, in contrast to the Teeling tour we took 2 days later, where we were ready to buy their whiskey upon return to the US.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your tour experience. We are constantly striving to improve and I will relay your feedback to our tours team to ensure we better explain the nuances of our whiskey in the future. I also passed on your comments to our Master Distiller, Graham Coull.
Here's Graham's take on what makes Dingle Distillery different:
"If I were to describe (briefly) what makes Dingle Whiskey different, I would focus on distillation and maturation. The size and shape of the pot stills combined with the slow distillation rate creates a unique new make spirit, which has a balance of body and purity. Maturing the spirit in a variety of first fill casks ensures that the wood influence and, therefore spirit complexity, is maxismised. Add to this the fact that Dingle is a 'grain to bottle' distillery. The spirit is born in Dingle, nurtured in Dingle and only leaves Dingle Distillery when it is ready to do so.
If you can return to Dingle one day, please let me know and I would be delighted to meet you and explain a bit more about what makes Dingle different."
We would love if we got the opportunity to welcome you again. Thanks again for your feedback!
