We arrived too late in Kinsale for one of the highly recommended walking tour. After walking on our own through this beautiful village, we had the opportunity to cruise on the Spirit if Kinsale. A great experience providing fantastic views, sightings of historical landmarks, and...More

We really enjoyed the cruise. We learned a lot of history about the forts and the sinking of the Lusitania.

We wanted to take a tour of the harbor in beautiful Kinsale. there were about 12 of us waiting at the dock at the appointed time, 2 pm. The boat did not show despite the internet listing saying it was going that day. One of...More

There were strong gales the previous night and a big swell running in the Harbour. Not suitable despite the sunshine. I am in a better position to judge the local weather given that my livelihood depends on it.

We went down to the Quay, waited and nobody showed up. Best to call Jerome beforehand to make sure someone is there.More

There isn't much to do in Kinsale, but the Harbour Cruise is excellent, providing a different view of the beautiful seaside town and surrounding areas.

The scenery was beautiful. We went on a sunny day and everything was beautiful. I was disappointed that the narration was a recording, but I suppose that's understandable. Having just recently been on the Don & Barry Walking Tour, the recorded tour here was a...More

Difficult and dangerous to drive a boat in a busy harbour and give a live narration at the same time. Hence the recorded commentary. If the local history of the area does not interest you, I can understand why you might find it boring.

a very good experience. The commentary is pre recorded but this does not detract from the tour which is about 1 hour. Many of the comments relate to the forts which the English built, but take this with a pinch of salt

November 26, 2017. Their web site says closed November through "first week in March." It's only a guess, but they might not pay much attention to the website until sailing resumel.

I agree with previous post. The cruise is an hour long. It stays light late that time of year so you should be able to catch a late afternoon cruise
