I have recently moved to the area and everything is new. The Sky Road is awesome. Sure, narrow, but the real "danger" is the captivating views especially on the top road. Take time to stop a while in the big parking area and just gaze and breathe in the sweet sea air, and a great place for a picnic... Ocean,... More

Some times living in ireland you take for granded some of the amazing scenery ireland has to offer and sky road is and example of this. The view will blow you away, as will the wind if you go when the weather is bad, but still woth it

Love the view especially on a bright sunny day. Took us about 15-20 mins driving depending how often you stop to take pictures. Road can be pretty narrow especially if there's oncoming but locals are very nice and polite to give way.. no rush indeed

If you are in Clifden this is a drive that should not be missed. There is a high road and a low road and obviously the views from the high road are more spectacular.Need great car when driving as road is narrow and winding.

This is one of the most amazing roads in Ireland and well worth a visit. If you want to experience the real splendour of wild rural Ireland then head for the sky road you won't be disappointed! There is a lot more to Ireland than just Temple Bar in Dublin and this road near Clifden has astounding views of mountains... More

We took this route after visiting beaches further up the coast. The views from the Sky Road are beautiful and we arrived in time to watch the sun beginning to set. Lovely.

While the road is not very wide and is popular with tourists, it is definitely a must see, especially on a clear sunny day. The views will have you oohing and aahing and scrambling for your camera.
