but very peaceful and with great views of the water and wildlife. We came for a bit of history but stayed just soaking up the atmosphere.

We visited to seek more information on the loss of lives here in 1916 when some 'patriots' drove off the road into the sea. We found the place to be very peaceful and relaxing.

I had initial problems finding the Pier, even after expert advice at the Tourist Office as coming from Killorglin driving alone, you need all your attention at the crossroads and he sign faces the other way but people are kind.. A lovely peaceful place indeed...More

since easter this year there has been 3 commerations at ballykissane pier as it was there that the first casulaties of the rising took place. 4 men travelling from dublin to cxaherciveen took a wrong turn in killirglin and their car went into the water...More

nothing going on here, take a few pics and go, could be made a lot nicer, can look a bit grubby at times as well, never see any tourists around there, just needs a bit more work done to it.
