This was one of the quick stops made by our tour bus. As the weather was getting worse, we bypassed the village part of the tour and went into the gift shop/café. They were ready for us as they had a table set up for...More

Visited during our trip around the Ring of Kerry. Beware this is on the regular coach stops for the Ring so be prepared for large numbers of visitors. The village shows life in the old days and worth quick visit

We visited the Bog Village as part of the Ring of Kerry bus tour. I found it absolutely fascinating! You can see and kind of experience how people lived during the Famine. As if you stepped back in time - you enter a small house...More

Just displays of what life was like in the old days. Cost 5 euros each, literally took us less than 10 minutes. The Irish whiskey in the bar was good. Don't bother with this.

Fascinating and eye-opening historic village provides the opportunity to explore how people lived in Ireland 150-200 years ago. Includes gift shop. You can conclude your tour with an Irish Coffee at the Red Fox Inn just across the parking lot.

We had had this place recommended as an overnight camping spot. We were warmly welcomed and given a nice flat spot out the back. We then did the tour of the museum which is great followed by a meal and a drink in the pub.

Nice museum with a very nice medieval recreation and an excellent over of the Irish rebellion and local history.
