So lovely to get off the Ring of Kerry and walk along the beautiful beach in Derrynane. The colour of the water and the colours of the surrounding mountains were magical. Great place to stretch one's legs and get away from the tour buses and tourist shops.

Situated on the ring of Kerry this is a lovely scenic beach to visit. With nice walks and big sand dunes it's a lovely quiet peaceful place. Would definitely return again!

This Beach is just gorgeous. There are some fantastic walkways in the area and through the beaches etc. The house was closed and we mainly just walked the beaches and nearby dunes etc, but it was gorgeous. I Look forward to visiting Derrynane again and getting to Abbey island sometime. (Maps on my phone sent us a little too far,... More

Derrynane beach and surrounding dune walk has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world😘I have been going to this beach for about twenty years and can honestly say I'm still struck by the unspoilt beauty that surrounds you. To me if you visit south Kerry you have to visit derrynane beach and walk the dune walk... More

You could easily idle away a morning or afternoon. Exploring Derrynane House and gardens. The fairy houses are great if you have little girls with you. The cafe out the back serves lovely fresh sandwiches. Make sure to make time for the amazing beach up the road. Head for the blue flag one with the life guards. Spectacular!!!

We stopped here with every intention of visiting the house but it was a beautiful sunny day and we decided to take a walk on the beach. It was almost deserted and you could walk for hours on the beach and smooth rocks. The view over the Atlantic was remarkable and a long walk to the old ruins and cemetery... More

Along with the history connected to this area, the beach walk is a must-see experience for nature lovers. Wander the beaches, climb the rocks, breathe the Irish sea air. Our tour guide insisted on a quick walk, then couldn't tear us away. Most of us even skipped lunch to spend more time on the beach. Truly gorgeous.

Forget O'Connell Street in Dublin, Derrynane House offers the real experience of Daniel O'Connell and is surrounded by beautiful woodland grounds and the stunning Derrynane Beach and shoreline. We tried the beach walk guide albeit the numbering in the guide did not match the waymarks but it was fascinating nevertheless. Finish a visit to the House café which was very... More

This beach is part of the Derrynane mass path. A beatiful walk along the beach and shore of Derrynane if you take the path from the rescue station along the coast and sort of turning back but up when you reach the pier and take the route that picks up the Kerry Way track to Derrynane House, you make a...
