Kells Bay House & Gardens is Ireland's premier sub-tropical botanical gardens situated overlooking Dingle Bay on the Ring of Kerry. Ideal for everyone with over 3 kms of walks and lots of Dinosaurs for the children. We also have 4 star accommodation in the former Hunting Lodge, with our Cafe and our Thai restaurant, Sala Thai, open daily throughout the year (check with us in the off season).

I visited the gardens with my family yesterday and we absolutely loved the gardens. If I could rate just the gardens I would have given it 5 stars. But they really need to improve their systems. We wanted just to get a quick sandwich and coffees in the cafe before our walk and had to wait over half an hour... More

We visited the gardens as an Easter treat for the kids, the drive from the entrance of the gardens is very tight and no overtaking slots for cars so it was a stand of with other cars coming against you. The gardens themself are beautiful and the rope bridge was a huge hit with our kids. At the top of... More

The rope bridge was the highlight. Well worth the visit for that alone. Parking here is limited so avoid peak times ....

This is certainly a hidden gem if i ever saw one. My wife and I and our baby visited. The whole place is just beautiful. The plant life is stunning, the walkways are really clean and safe, the views are stunning and the timber carvings are incredible. A lovely coffee shop is just perfect. A little improvement on parking needed... More

We enjoyed exploring the gardens, an opportunity to see nature at its best. Rope bridge was thrilling for both adults and kids! Well worth a visit and revisit!! The waterfall at the entrance is breathtaking!

We stumbled across this by accident and I am so glad that we did. It was fantastic, inexpensive and a great way to spend a couple of hours. They are doing a lot of work to improve the gardens including their new Skybridge, a wonderful rope bridge which is a must. The gardens are magical and include wonderful carved trees,... More

I could not recommend this well established hotel to anyone. The unprofessional business ethics that the owner Billy doesn't even have the common decency to respond to a complaint email is highly disappointing. Having bought a voucher on a voucher website, while the hotel operated this offer from there main website prior to this period, for €120 for a 2... More

Kells Bay House & Gardens will reopen formally in April with some fantastic new additions. My kids and I couldn't wait so we visited yesterday for Mother's Day. The owners have now installed a beautiful new rope bridge which spans the river that runs through the gardens. My kids loved it. They have also brought an artist in to carve... More

Kells Bay House and Gardens is a beautiful place to visit and to stay. We stayed for one night in the main house, which had lovely views of the ocean and the gardens. The room was enormous, with a huge bathroom with a free standing bathtub. We had a very restful night's sleep! Breakfast was excellent, we thought we might... More
