I have visited this location twice. The first time the views from the top were magnificent and would deserve a top rating. However I am down rating it because of my second visit here. I was pressurised by a friend to bring them to Geokaun after hearing my opinion on the location. They were only available to visit with me on a day that the weather wasn't very good. Despite my reservations they were adamant that they wanted to go and hoped that the weather would improve before we got there...it didn't. As we had driven a long way to get there, they insisted on paying their €6 and up we went. It was a wasted drive and we could hardly see one another, never mind the panoramic views which I had vividly described to my guests after my original visit here. We came down immediately. So a word of warning, don't bother calling here if visibility is poor as they will take your money and won't advise you to give it a miss. Business is business I'm afraid!

We drove to the top car park (€6 - totally reasonable considering the excellent upkeep and detailed information boards); the view from the top is stunning. We took turns walking down to the other viewing spots with our little boy (one walking with him, the other driving the car). The information boards are very well done, information on the sites but also local history. Truly our favourite experience of our day trip on Valentia Island! Highly recommended.

Best €6 I've spent in a long time, breathtaking views from taking the loop walk around the top of the mountain. Informative signs positioned at every stop-off point gave us some background on what we were viewing also. Go when the weather is good, you'll see so much more! Highly recommended...

The mountain and cliffs have ample parking area at all 3 levels. The road up is quite steep but generally a good surface. It was wild and windy for our visit so we drive up in our campervan to each level and then did the short walk to each view point. Absolutely stunning and highly recommended if you touring Valentina. There is a Wild Atlantic Way sign on the top (slightly marred by what looks initially to be advertising boards stuck to the rocks but are actually information signs, could have picked a better spot for them as it’s difficult to take a photo of the WAW sign without them in it).

The entrance is €6 per car - great value. We drove up to 2nd car park for short walk to cliffs viewing deck, then to 3rd car park for the circular walk (25mins walk) for panoramic views. Very easy walking, very enjoyable

This place has some of the most incredible views we have seen in Ireland with barely any of the crowds. We enjoyed all 3 stages of the mountain including the cliffs, the loop walk, and the top. All gave absolutely incredible views and we had barely any crowds at all when we visited adding to the experience. Overall for anyone driving the Ring of Kerry route this and other parts of Valentia Island are a must see detour.

Actually visited almost 5 years ago (review lets you only go back about a year), but this sort of thing doesn't change. Fondly recall the stunning views including the attached. Literally a "peak" of our visit to Ireland.

So the cliffs were closed for maintenance when we went in September 2023 but the rest was open and I have to say that the views at the very top were spectacular. You could see Skellig Micheal, all of Valentia, Portmagee, the Blasket Islands and all the way to Cahersiveen and it wasn’t even the best of days. We didn’t bother with the walk around the edge as from the mast you could see everything better and do a complete 360° without risk of being blown over!
Worth the €6 to drive to the top

I haven't even heard of this place before visiting Valentia island and this became my personal highlight.
Entry fee is 8€ for cars or 4€ for walkers. You can park at the entrance and do a steep hike to the viewpoints or you can drive and park at every viewpoint. There are info sheets everywhere talking about history, mythology, flora, fauna and places you see around yourself. And the view is different from all three places. There is even a picnic point. A must on your list, if you visit Valentia island.
If you're there, also visit the lighthouse and the Skellig Experience Centre and do the Bray Head drive - Valentia island has a lot to offer.

Wow, what views from the 3 viewing points ! A nice walk around the top of the mountain too. Loads of information placards at each stop. €8 per car, more for vans. A must visit for the views !

Folks, I was there mid July this year and didn't see any pay machines. Was I in the wrong place? Can't work out where the pay and display was
