Spent about 2 hours here on Tuesday, in glorious sunshine, walking around the gardens. Cost €5 each, which wasn't bad, very good map, and off we went. Most of the gardens are left to their own natural growth, and while parts are a bit trickier to pass, on the whole it was wonderful to see so many varieties of trees... More

We visited the gardens on a beautiful sunny day and we were looking forward to a gentle stroll around splendid gardens......what a let down, 5 Euro each, a map, and a barking dog to follow us around what I can only describe as an overgrown mess, you needed a man in front of you with a machete to clear a... Most amazing plush gardens with a real subtropical feel to it! The energy point was an amazing experience ( still feel the tingle in the back of my legs... )

This garden, be it a bit on the wild side, is very nice and quiet. It is big (can easily spend 1.5 hours in it), and has interesting plants. If you're into manicured gardens, stay away, but if you're up for a walk on this wild side, go for it. At 6 euro's it's not breaking the bank either.

The owner is a real character and the work and nurture which has, over about 50 years, been put into their establishment is a botanist's dream. It is also a very spiritual place ripe for artistic inspiration. A cafe or place to discuss your experience with other visitors would improve a really enjoyable experience.

It was definitely not what we expected as the maintenance could have been much better, but to see plants from all over the world was well worth the hike!
