We thought we would have a look at the cathedral whilst we were staying in Tuam for the day and glad we did. The cathedral is a beautiful and serene place to visit, with stunning architecture and eye-catching stain glass windows. There is also a...More

Wonderful example of early architecture with some fabulous celtic engravings. Cathedral built in three different centuriee starting in 1100s. Worth a visit, if even just for beautiful stain glass windows and high cross. Visiting times limited so check opening hours.

One of the great wonders of our country, I find a beautiful serenity Every time I visit this gem. A must for visitors. I have a fascination for churches and cathedrals and this one is right up there with the best of them.

Detoured via Tuam today to visit Cathedral. Not only was it locked, but there was no information as to when it might be open (Wikipedia says Fridays during the summer!) More than anything else, Does Tuam not want tourists?

Protestant ctahedral so of course it was locked up tight againt visitors, despite it being the the middle of the day in the height of the tourist season. A disgrace.

An undiscovered gem. It is truely a beautiful building steeped in history. It is not always open but was empty apart from us when we visited. Also home of high cross of Tuam. Hard to find parking close by.
