Ate here twice over the bank holiday weekend, on both occasions the food was excellent, we had smoked salmon and crab meat sandwich ten out of ten, staff very friendly, well worth a visit, when we are back in athlone we will call in again

Friday night, town hopping, this is a grand place to go for a quiet chat and a pint. Would have been great if there was bar food.

Visited Gerties on Saturday. ..had pints and food. ..GF seafood chowder, cheese burger and chicken wings...washed down with good pints. Food was really good and prepared fresh. Pleasant barman and nice atmosphere. Would recommend this bar.
