We've travled to West Cork quite a few times now, but until this year we haven't visited Garinish. The Island is so beautiful, although it is really not big! The crossing with the ferry was hilarious, as we saw so many seals in the bay...More

Lovely to walk around and explore. Lots to see, incredible views, bright and colourful flowers, shrubs and trees. Stop for a cuppa and snack while waiting for the boat back.

Island practically closed. No one mentioned at ferry or at entrance to island. Cafe also closed. Shame on the OPW. €91 for the pleasure.

You have to travel by ferry and then pay to get on the very small island. Would not do this again. Found it to be a huge let down considering the cost of getting there.

I was looking forward to visit this Island...It was not quite what I was expecting. Basically a Wild garden, the same you can see in many places in Ireland for free and the gardens are not well maintained. The visit to the house was nice,...More

Hi, Most people spend between 1-3 hours on the Island depending on your interest in Gardens, if you take the tour of the house or have some food while on the Island. Hope you enjoy the trip
