Lovely beach you can spend the day on and bring a pinic to. Local train station stops right at the beach and hotels are located near bye as well

Love this beach - a long wide beach which is never full of people and a great place to fish for flat fish (when they're on - but check with your local fishing tackle shop (Dun Laoghaire = nearest -Dun Laoghaire Angling/ Mikes Bikes = bike shop with good fishing tackle section ) The beach can be quite windy and... After been in the head quarters down from donegal my colleague and I went for a walk on Killiney beach, beautiful day. It is a Stoney beach but it brought me back to my childhood picking up stones with unusual markings and colors. Scenery is beautiful.while there we did a #2minutebeachclean, but to be fair it is a well kept... More

As with a lot of the beaches local it is pebbly. There were lifeguards in attendance. There aren't any facilities at the beach though there is a car park and toilets. The views were certainly worth the visit.

Good beach to relax. Pebble beach but has a bit at the end that's sandy. Water is also crystal clear! Really near to the dart as well.

Okay, let's cover some ground rules. #1 this is a beach in Ireland, so expect "chillier" waters, not the warm Caribbean waves, and don't look for white powder sand. #2 It is not a total "pebble beach" like other Irish beaches (or the shoreline down from Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France). There are smoother sections you can walk on... More

If you are in Dublin but low tide only gives you sand (at Sandymount) instead of water to see - go to Killiney (using the DART) ... view of the open sea, nice waves rolling in! The beach is in its natural state and can offer no modern conveniences.

My sister and I set off to see the beach and put our toes in the water. We really enjoyed the the houses on the way down and luckily, my husband and brother-in-law collected us with the car. The beach is rocky, so anyone who is unsteady may want to forgo walking to the water. Rocks were multicolored and smooth.

it very easy to access by the public transport, train station is just few hundred meters away, so its very easy if you don't have car, its wonderful place if you like a photography, or just sit in the evening and enjoy waves!
