The fact that you can see the water fall out from the dam is quite impressive, given that some outlets can be closed releasing less water and making the falls seem tame. When more of the dam outlet doors are open, the rushing of the water rages with power! At night the lights shine, it is magical. If you stay at the Hill Top Motel & Restaurant, and are lucky to get a room facing the falls, sit out at night on the balcony, its absolutely sublime! Its a lovely little town.

We stopped here because of other reviews, and so happy we did! Beautiful sight and nice pit stop. There were many vehicles & ample parking. There are picnic tables & trees for shade on grassy part. You can walk around the building for different views, there weren't many people at the side when we stopped.

Clean bathrooms and gift shop inside.

This waterfall is usually not as impressive because NB Power diverts the water to an underground tunnel. But this year, it looks like they are managing the falls differently. They are very impressive and you can walk along the trails of the gorge. Very often missed by travelers to the region, an influx of tourism is reviving interest in this natural wonder. I highly recommend that you stay in Grand Falls and spend a day exploring this place.

Inclement weather prevented us from getting the full Grand Falls experience, but we were able to enjoy the viewing platforms overseeing this beautiful waterfall. I think the weather kept many tourists away and we had the opportunity to enjoy the falls in peace and quiet. The sound of the rushing water diving 75 feet was magnificent.

Would recommend visiting.

WOW amazing experience. We timed it just right. The amount of water and the roaring sound was incredible. You do need to pick the time of year to go. We were there end of April.

The rocks here are not eroded at all!! As there is little water to erode the rocks. Better with water!!

The river is quite low in September. The gorge is very impressive and I’m sure must be very impressive in the spring when the water is flowing at much higher levels. Still worth seeing at anytime.

Grand Falls waterfalls is a large waterfalls and rugged rock gorge which is a must stop. A hydrodam at the falls regulates water flow plus flow varies due to time of season. There is a Visitor centre on site with free parking and picnic tables. There are several viewing platforms to enjoy the falls as well as a zip line to ride across the gorge. Well worth a stop.

Wow....can’t believe we have not taken the time to visit Grand Falls New Brunswick in our travels over the years. This is a definite MUST VISIT. Well worth a half day rest stop or stay for the evening if you can.

Simply stunningly rugged rick and waterfall gorge that just oozes with nature’s beauty. The Visitor Center is well laid out and there is even a Zip Line to the other side of the gorge and back if you want to experience a real adrenaline rush. Don’t be fooled....it is not as scary as it seems.

One of New Brunswick’s hidden gems that too few know about!
Signed.....a long time camper.

It was neat to see the gorge. It would be very impressive in the spring, with the gates open, but was still something to see in August
