I have rated this a 4 star because that’s the average of my reviews of this attraction.
I give 5/5 because the river itself is beautiful and peaceful and theee aren’t many places you can spend $45 for 3-5hrs entertainment.
However, I give 2/5 because the stairs to go down to the river are dangerous especially when carrying your tube! The muddy embankment to get into the water is very slippery, so could use having staff helping people get into their tubes safely would be highly recommended by myself. And also at the other end, you are left to get out of your own tube without assistance, while 4 staff sat at the top of the stairs watching! The entry and exit points could really benefit with a dock!!

HATE: they’re no embarcation or landing platforms to seat and get up. Stairs would be nice to get down to the rive.
Water shoes is a must!!

Past this adventure, the LOVE:
Wonderful, relaxing and joyful!!
Attached all your tube together and enjoy and delightful moments of fun and precious time.
We had a blast!! I would do it again with water shoes..

Thank you for your review! So glad you enjoyed your time on the Miramichi River! 🙂. Our Rapids Run has stairs to the river. Sadly, a storm took out our Tidal Run stairs to the river and those haven’t been replaced yet. We hope to have them rebuilt for next season. We agree water shoes are great! On our website FAQ page we recommend old sneakers, they usually have thicker soles than water shoes making for a more comfortable walk on the rocky shore. 🙂

Owner is a miserable man, hate kids, practically threatened to beat up our group because we brought our own tubes. After not even 20 mins prior he said it was fine for us to get in the river. They don't own the river and that behavior is absolutely disgusting. Owner has huge issues don't go there at all.

Hello Tubers, as many of you may be aware, we had a run in on Sunday, July 10th, 2022 with a group of individuals at our Rapids Run launch point which is private property. We were certain (and still are) that those individuals did not have permission from the property owners to be there or to use that private access point. We have a special, exclusive agreement with the land owners and part of that is that there will not be strangers entering or hanging around their property or parking cars in order to use their access to the river – especially if they are not our customers. Previously (for several years) we had politely and respectfully told similar groups (which we believe did include some individuals from the Sunday incident) that they should find a public access point, or get permission from other private land owners that they might know, to access the river - they always put into the river despite our requests. In frustration, that Sunday we did blow our tops at the group of adults, bad words were said and confrontational gestures were made. Unfortunately, the group had also brought children with them and from what we have read online the kids were upset. Of course, we do not like that children were caught in the cross-fire of our rant to the group and are remorseful that they were there to see that. In regards to the statements being made that we think we own the river and don't think anyone else should go tubing if it's not with us, that is absolutely not true! Having been in the river tubing business for 15 years now, we have great appreciation for the open river and are thankful that anyone, including our tubers, can float down the Miramichi River. This incident was NOT about us being upset that a group of people were going tubing from some random spot with their own tubes and not paying us. It was about the disrespect of individuals (who were not our customers) parking their cars and using our launch point - a private access point - without land owners’ permission. We do not care in the least if anyone launches or exits from other privately owned launch points or public access launch points. We do recognize that a confrontation over it wasn't ideal - there are more civilized means of dealing with trespassers on private property. We regret that decision. We are sorry this incident happened and wish we were not put in that position in the first place. We started this business from scratch and have been growing it for the past 15 years, now employing 10 to 15 local residents seasonally and contributing significantly to the summer economy in the area. We have overcome many obstacles. The incorrect information and terrible things being said to us and about us in social media after this incident was heartbreaking and overwhelming, especially considering there had only been one side of the story told as we gathered our thoughts on how we could make this incident up to our tubers. Since we were most saddened that children were put in a position to witness the confrontation, we implemented a new program that we are excited about. We had been looking for new ways to give back to the community more strongly and think we came up with something special. For at least the summer of 2022, the proceeds of all recyclable beverage containers left in our blue bins will be donated to local non-profit children’s camp, Camp Sheldrake. Gallan's Miramichi River Tubing will match the funds raised by the program up to $1000. We believe this will help send 5-6 children to camp and encourage more recycling! We hope to make it a yearly tradition. From https://www.campsheldrake.ca/: "Camp Sheldrake thrives to provide all children with the chance to attend and experience a summer camp. The camp experience not only benefits our youth, but also their families, and communities across the province." Our new program is tentatively called, "Save Your Cans - Send a Kid to Camp". We hope you can forgive us for that moment of hot-headedness. We thank everyone that has shown us support and those who have been patiently waiting to hear us out. There is a lot more tubing left to do in 2022 and we look forward to serving you. Thank you.

Another hot day decided to go tubing again, so we decided to try Gallans this time, it was crazy busy but lines moved fast , water was way deeper . We try the short run which was about 2 hours , a little to short, went by fast. Even though it was busy there was all kinds of room on the river. Gonna try it again but going on the longer run

We visited at the end of August as a family of 4... kids are boys 9 and 12. We enjoyed the time but felt it was too long. The pace was a bit too slow for our family and by mid point we were all ready to end the ride. It wasn't very hot so we were all cold which didn't help either. If the weather had of cooperated I can see how this would be more enjoyable. Overall, it was really well run establishment and pricing I thought was fair. All staff were very kind, helpful and friendly. I am glad we had the experience.

I’ve always gone to Stewart’s but I heard the river was really low there so we tried gallan’s and it was great. Barely touched bottom. Tubes were big and comfortable. A fun afternoon on the river. Only took us a bit over an hour. Would like to try the longer one next time.
