We were given a wonderful tour of the mills and enjoyed a glimpse of life in times past in this area. Our guide told us stories of the people who worked and lived here and explained the workings of the mill in an easily understood way. Well worth the visit.

There are not too many old Industrial buildings that are as attractive and welcoming as this one is. You could go to a distillery and see how they used to make whiskey. Here you can see how they made Linen and what it was used for. There is also a corn mill and it is powered by a water mill.... More

Just came across this mill by chance, what a beautiful place full of history, where you can freely walk about and see this wonderful mill in all it's past glory. You get an amazing insight into corn and flax milling. There is also a short film (fifteen minutes) that lets you know the full local and family history associated with the mill.... More

Stopped by the mill for a quick tour and was amazed at how well done this place is. Learned more about mills and the history of the area than I expected. So glad we did this, its even a free attraction. Would be very good for children.

We were directed to the corn and flax mill near Letterkenny and it was well worth the visit. The display and Dave, the guy who took us on a personal tour was professional and informative. The mills are in working order and together with the displays it is easy to get a real understanding of the process and the working... More

I didn't understand the whole process of making linen. I learned that it was a very labor intensive process. this was a very good museum. Spend at least an hour.

This is a really interesting tour about a former corn mill and separate flax mill that were owned by a family from 1890 to mid 1950. The building were disused but have been restored by the Irish Government and a brilliant job they have done of it. The tour starts with a 15 minute video telling not only the history... More
