Very unique and interesting museum, the outdoor section with the World War I trenches and the 1916 Rising GPO exhibition is excellent. Really worth a visit.

We visited the Cavan County Museum this afternoon. A fantastic museum well laid out and informative covers many years from early ice age ... in particular the World War I trenches and 1916 commemorative facade. Only 15 minutes outside Cavan Town in Ballyjamesduff.

We loved the museum in Cavan even our 6year old found it exciting the lay out was easy to move around the article were great we will go again before we go home because of the rain we didn't get to see it all
