We stopped here with our tour group Hill Top Trek. The house is very beautiful and has souvenir shops on the first level. The remainder of the house is used for special events and cannot be visited. However, the grounds are the centerpiece of the property. The grounds are very extensive with lush landscaping, a huge cascading fountain and a large array of different types of flowers. They also have a Japanese garden here as well. You can download an audio guide however I found that whenever I went to take a photo the audio guide disconnected so we just wandered around the grounds. There is signage posted so you cannot get lost, and you will see everything of interest. I would recommend coming here. It is likely our most enjoyable garden visit ever and we have visited many during our travels. It is quite a jaw-dropping experience.

We visited the gardens on a cool, breezy fall day and had a great visit despite the garden being in its later stages of bloom. There were still some wonderful flowering plants to see. We walked the grounds and enjoyed the views of the property and the mountains beyond. Everyone we spoked with in the house and the garden was friendly. It's a nice place to sit, relax and enjoy the scenery.

When we left the hotel after a short stay in a family suite, I overheard our 12 year old telling my youngest son (8) "I think that was one of the best holidays we have every had". His reply was "yeah it was awesome". And it was. Having a high quality breakfast as you look out at the Sugar Loaf mountain; the walks in nature within easy reach; the pool and facilities; wonderful staff who catered for your every need; and very comfortable beds ensuring a good night sleep, all contributed to make this a relaxing break. Rarely as a mother of 3 children have I returned home feeling that I also had a restful holiday (lol) but on this occasion I really did! I was able to completely switch off in these surroundings. We will definitely be back again for another stay.

Powerscourt Estate makes for a wonderful day out. The gardens & fountains are pristinely maintained & there are lovely walks right across the estate. On this visit we didn't go to the waterfall but that is also worth a visit. The cafe/restaurant is run by Avoca & is a worthy addition as the food here is delicious. There's plenty of parking, several shops & garden centre on the grounds so worth visiting whatever the season.

The Powerscourt Gardens are quite lovely formal gardens. It had many statutes and also a beautiful Japanese garden full if blooming azaleas. We went a couple of days ago as a Viking excursion. It is very similar to Versailles. Highly recommend!

A visit to this grand estate is a must when in County Wicklow. The stately house itself is beautiful and the gardens superb. You will find a selection of lovely stores inside, a cafe and restaurant with good healthy choices and tasty cakes. Next door to the main house is a beautiful garden centre. You will also find a golf course and a hotel plus spa on the estate grounds. Well worth a visit, especially on a sunny day. Stunning grounds.

The grounds are stunning and totally worth the price of admission (15 euro). We had a beautiful sunny day and spend about 3 hours walking around, visiting the Japanese Garden area, stopping in the cafe for a quick snack/water break and then back to other areas of the grounds that we had not seen. Lots of little quiet areas to relax. The shops are very nice and have lots of gift choices if you need something to bring home. We went the end of May and all of the flowers and shrubs/trees were in bloom so it was perfect timing!

Powerscourt House and Gardens is a destination that is not to be missed. The exquisite gardens and beautiful landscapes are truly a sight to behold. Take your time to walk the entire property to fully appreciate its beauty. Afterward, enjoy a delightful lunch on the back patio overlooking the gardens. The restaurant offers a wide variety of hot and cold lunch options, making it the perfect spot to relax and soak in the stunning views. An unforgettable experience in every way!

Visiting the house and gardens was part of a wider day out to the distillery on the same estate the later a particular interest of mine. I am not a garden person however my uncle is a keen gardener so thought this might have been a nice treat and i have to say it didnt disappoint. The gardens are in a stunning location with a backdrop of the sugarloaf garden. The gardens themselves are stunning whilst we didnt have time to fully explore because its over 40 acres the parts we did see were beautifil. Hopefully get to visit again soon when i have more time to fully explore

We were staying in Powerscourt hotel and, of course, wanted to visit the gardens. Tickets are 13.50 euros for an adult. You can spend the day strolling around. Love Japanese garden and walled garden. We dined in cafe. It was expensive, there was an offer for cake and a hot beverage for 10.95. We had sandwiches and cake, both were very good. Overall, we enjoyed our day and would recommend a visit.
