So I wanted a quiet place to do a picnic in the evening and watch the sunset and found this place. Trust me there is no better place in Snowdonia to see the sunset. Lovely big and quite carpark. Toilet was a bit smelly but...More

The drive up from the main road is a bit of a drag, single lane with a number of gates, but it's worth it. There is an ample car park by the lakes and even if you don't fancy a walk the views are fabulous....More

Went to the lakes via Arthog. Missed the turnoff, eventually found it up a steep single track lane, which just kept going and going. Need a car with a good driver and a strong handbrake! Several gates on the way up that need opening. If...More

Visited here yesterday and must say the whole area is stunning. Choice of two walks on the national trust information board. Half of the longer one on the road and then a turn to the left for a climb, steep in places, up the hill...More

We stayed at Graig Wen & The Slate Shed accommodation, very close by, in Arthog. We were in a cottage but they do have camping pitches, some with electric hook ups. It's a lovely place, Sarah, the owner is lovely.
