Not recommended on rainy days
Sep. 2019 • Friends
When we went here in September, waves are waist high, and it was the most dangerous boat ride we've ever had. I can't count the number of times when the boat almost turned upside down. If planning to visit during rainy season, it's best to call the local coast guard first to ensure your safety (or don't go instead). Locals are very friendly though. You'll find group of birds trying to catch fishes near the shore. Water is very clear. We aren't able to see the sand bar due to bad weather and high tide. We tried hiking but it rained while we're in the middle and it becomes more dangerous when the wind started to blow. But the view of the island from the top is great.

Hi Prncssvera, Sorry to hear that, sometimes it's really like that; most of the times it'sreally easy and calm to go there, even rainy days. Best time to go there if the weather is northwest moonsoon or they we often called it " Amihan" in tagalog or local dialect. Best time to go there is from February to May. But still accessible every time, except if there's a typhoon. Thank you anyways for dropping to our humble Island, see you next time again.

Unspoiled Island in Culasi Antique
May 2019
It can be reached by about 15mins boat ride from the City. We planned for a day tour only and we were absolutely stunned by its beauty. Managed to trek on top of the hill with a tour guide (a-must). Mesmerized by the magnificent view on top of the hill, saw the critically endangered "Pitcher Plant". Beach is absolutely fantastic with its clean and clear blue water, fine white sand and perfect sand bank. We brought our own food for the day trip but there are available shops that sells fresh catch of the day. Cottages were available for rent and outdoor grills if you plan to have a barbecue party.
The whole island is very clean and well protected by the community.
A Must-see when in Culasi Antique.

Hidden island beauty
Apr. 2019 • Friends
This is no mainstream destination yet offers a breath taking view of the sea and the mountain. The boat ride is still P750 and you get it from the local tourism office. Cottage is P300 when you get it from the barangay.

The Kawit sand bar is white and beautiful.

I like to commend how the locals are preserving the environment. They know how to segregate their garbage and says no to single use plastic. Good job!

Bad experience
Mar. 2019 • Couples
We stayed overnight in the orange cottages. Who is the owner called her Nanay (old woman) she is so nice and kind and approachable but the owner of the other cottages both side because we are in the middle look like they really don’t want tourist.
They start to paint with really smelly paint just behind our cottages in the night just when we are having our dinner. We tried to move little bit more far to get little bit of fresh air and then they bring back the paint close were we seating just to annoy us. In the morning the same person who paint in the night start very very loud music already at 5:45... We really don’t understand the reason of this behavior because we didn’t talk or deal with no one else that nanay.
Our plan was to stay longer but at 8am we decided to go back to mainland and continue our vacation somewhere else.
It was indeed a very bad experience.

Secluded and unspoiled beauty
Feb. 2019
Spent 1 day and 1 night on this beautiful island, somewhat off the beaten path.
If you're looking for funky bars, coffee shops, beach clothes shopping, you'll find none of it here. Best you stay in Boracay.
This is a place for swimming in pristine waters, eating locally caught fish and seafood cooked on charcoal and generally chilling out inside a bamboo beach hut.

Be ready to get you feet wet as to climb a thin gangplank into a tradition pump boat, that will take you the 15 minutes ride to this beautiful island. The resort is attached to the village, where locals go about their everyday lives.

While you can transport all your needs from Culasi, purchased at the fresh market, you can also purchase anything you need from the village and not overly inflated prices.

The locals are lovely and welcoming, particularly as I was travelling alone. they showed concern that I had a relaxed and enjoyable time.

A day on the beach
Dec. 2018 • Family
We went there Dec.1, 2018 with my husband, my son, my niece, our helper & our secretary. It was raining but we still managed to cross the sea. I paid the fees on the post which was 150.00 then the boat costs 750.00 for round trip. When we arrived on the island, I paid 300.00 environmental fee & another 300.00 cottage fee. We did not bring any food so we just bought squid & fish then have them cooked for us. The total I paid for the 1kl squid, 2kls fish, 1kl rice & 1l coke plus cooking fee was about 1,300.00 which is not bad already.

Great day even in the rain
Jul. 2018 • Friends
We got a pump boat from the port, about 15 minutes to the island

When we got there we were given hot coffee to warm up (rainy season) and sung to by the islands children's choir - so lovely

We then trekked to the summit of the island, it was steep in parts but if you take your time anyone could do it. The view at the top makes it worth it too!

Our tour included an organised lunch which was huge and of course included fresh fish caught from the island.

Highly recommend if you are visiting the mainland!

(We booked our tour with Kawa Inn, Tibiao)

I went here from Iloilo City and it takes 5 hours i think or four before I arrived in Culasi via Van . Ask a trike to bring you to Tourism Center and book a motor boat to Malalison Island .you can buy food in the market near the Tourism center. Its your choice to stay over night or just have a day tour in the island were you can enjoy trekking and swimming . There are guides that can brong tlyou up the hill which you can have a magnificent view of hills with pinetrees as well. It is good to climb early in the morning .

Beautiful and Clean
Apr. 2018 • Friends
The boat ride is 15mins from Culasi Port. I was surprised when I saw the island! The sand was white, and the water is clean! It was beautiful. We rented a cabana P500 for that day. We ordered fresh tuna and squid and have someone cook it for us. The whole place is clean!
