The anchor weighs 20 tonnes and lets you imagine what the gigantic tanker must have been like before sinking and causing this terrible pollution in March 1978. An interior space just in front of the anchor allows visitors to learn about the story. of the sinking of the Amoco Cadiz. Very didactic.

the Amoco Cadiz disaster is just another exmple of how greed and profit take first place over the protection of OUR natural environment. the shipwreck can still be seen in the distance at low tide (we didn't see it) ... sad.
