I read some reviews here about this park that we discovered by chance while passing Ploudalmézeau. Yes, everything is not perfect but it has the merit of existing.
Entry is free and you are free to leave a contribution in the box provided for this purpose.
This park is very well maintained and presents beautiful, more or less exotic plants. The birds seem in their best shape and seem to enjoy their place of life.
Bravo for the presentation of this space which we appreciated!

Since I was a kid I always come to this park during my holidays.
It is very pretty and especially that it is maintained by volunteers.
Just a negative mention would be for animals.
They do it hard in their tiny concrete box.
They don't know the grass, they can't run.
It is for me, by omission, animal abuse.
Stop the animals if you cannot offer them a suitable setting.

Superb discovery in this lost hole, abundant and magnificent flowers, tropical species well adapted to the climate. The only very, very big downside is the distress of the animals in cages; ultimately they could have created a grassy plain for all these herbivores. I found it very hard in such a magnificent setting.

This place is fantastic for young children.

It is close to Brest airport, about 25 minutes in the car so we chose it because we had 4 or 5 hours to kill before picking someone up from the airport.

We arrived shortly after 9 o'clock and left around 1pm and the kids loved it.

The best thing about it is the fact that It is free, that it has something to please children of all ages.

We met a couple of lovely families there and time just flew by without us even having the time to see the whole place.

Definitely a bit of a hidden gem but, if you're in the area, take the kids and bring a picnic.

The toilets quickly run out of paper but it is easy enough to bring some with you.

Donate a couple of coins so you can help keep this place going.

Why take the kids to an expensive zoo or soft play area when this exists...

This garden is a regular visit when we go to this part of France. The gardens themselves are well laid out and include an excellent kids play area. The park is known for its Hortensias (Hydrangas) and has an extensive collection. The real surprise is the small zoo located in what is basically, a public park. England could learn a lot about public parks from the French. If this was in England, you would have to pay to get in!

A pretty public garden that is pleasant to wander around, to view both plants and animals / birds.
Excellent parking, both right outside, or slightly down the road, on the other side.
All free, and you can take your dog on the lead.
The town is twinned with a Devon town, and they have planted a delightful rose garden in honour of 35 years of friendship.
