A Stunning Underworld Experience, the Great Stalactite at Doolin Cave is one of Europe's most compelling cave attractions. It is a truly unique and breathtaking experience:- the largest stalactite in the Norhern Hemisphere. Doolin Cave has a Farmland Nature Trail, which is FREE for its visitors. We have unusual breeds of chickens, sheep, cattle and alovely pygmy goat called Minnie, with her little kid called Vincent Van Goat or Vinnie for short. We have also planted lots of native trees and shrubs and wildflower meadows. Our cafe serves lovely fresh salads, soups, breads and homemade cakes We are very proud to announce that we have recently been awarded a Gold Award from Ecotourism Ireland. Hurray!

When we first arrived in Doolin we were renting a cottage w/out wi fi. When we arrived at the Doolin Cave Cafe, the staff went out of their way to help me get online. We didn't eat there but did order cappucino and tea and the cappuccino was excellent. There was no fee for the wi fi.

Visited last year but were unable to get into the cave due to rain. This year we were more fortunate and are very glad we returned. The guide and staff were lovely. Couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming. Cave was an amazing experience. Enjoyed by young and old alike. Also enjoyed the little nature trail and café. Well... More

Jim the tour guide was lovely and very informative. Well worth the visit! The stalactite was amazing, I saw it as a child years ago and really wanted to come back.. Definitely as cool as 12 year old me remembers!!

The kids loved this. We found it by accident. It is amazing to see the stalactites so close up. Even though we knew what we were going to see the moment the light went on, it was still a wow moment. Amazing how those two men discovered it with little equipment.

Not the most extensive show caves, but the great stalactite in the main chamber is worth descending and climbing all the stairs!

This is exactly what it says on the tin, worth a visit but it is a quick tour as there is only a couple of things to see. If you can climb a 100 steps your in but if not you might have difficulty getting up and down to it. I thought it was very interesting to see, others might... More

Hi Behhy, thanks for your review. The steps can be difficult but we find that this is very much dependent on the individual and they generally know their capabilities in this regard. Not everyone is a cave person but we are glad you enjoyed the tour, the Great Stalactite is wonderful and its the only chance a person will get... More

Had been told they are a must see so we made the 90 min drive from where we were staying with the visions of seeing something really amazing. We were very disappointed I have to say, it was a little expensive for what you got and the tour that went down I felt was far to big so anyone at... More

Hi Natalie, thanks for your review. We are sorry you felt underwhelmed by the experience as we try to limit the tour numbers as much as possible. This is very much dependent on the time of day/year you visit the attraction. If you visited us over the Easter break this is a particularity busy period and as such tours are... More

Absolutely fantastic and well worth the trip. Our tour guide made it a great experience and I thought it was well planned. The only reason I have not given this tour 5 stars is that I felt the tickets were slightly pricey but I figure they need to charge a lot to maintain such a gem.
