Beautiful hidden gem of a look-out just a short drive from Twillingate! The view east to Bacalao Island (you can see a large abandoned lighthouse high on the island!) and Change Islands/Fogo is incredible and well-maintained. We stayed on Change Islands a few days earlier, and from Pike's Arm Look-Out could see the spot where we stayed with binoculars. Be kind and leave a donation in the box to help the wonderful community volunteers with trail/stair maintenance.

Absolutely worth the stop. The views are spectacular and our kids spent at least an hour exploring the area at the top of the lookout.

Be prepared for a good climb. The stairs are a bit weathered in some places,so watch where you step. The view is beautiful . Parking consists of space for one car, best to park on the main road.

Ditto the reviews above: hidden gem; amazing 360 views; well maintained; easy climb.
Toogood Arm Road (Rte 346) runs east off Rte 340 on New World Island a kilometre south of the causeway to South Twillingate Island. ~12 km along Rte 346 you'll see sign to turn right for Bridge's Lookout. Follow to parking lot at end of road. Climb!

We happened upon this lookout driving around from Twillingate one day. First we saw a sign for the town of Pike's Arm which said "lookout" on the bottom. Then we saw several of those tourist signs for lookout that show binoculars. Some of the signs referred to it as "Bridger's Lookout." Follow the signs into the little cove, and then go up a steep short hill to a parking lot. There is a big sign and room for several cars. So while this is a hidden gem, the locals have done a great job marking and maintaining it. When you first go up the steps from the lot, you come out on a little clearing, but that is not the lookout. Keep going and look ahead where you will see a platform on top of the hill farther along. While there is more work to walk up, even we as middle aged non-hikers got to the top in about 12-15 minutes. There are several rain huts along the way in case the weather turns and there is even an outhouse along the trail. (Don't laugh, it is the nicest outhouse I have ever seen.) Getting to the top is definitely worth the trip, you can see many coves and bays all around, as well as birds, and if you time it right, icebergs in the harbors and over the hills. We really enjoyed this spot and we were the only ones there--or for miles it seemed.

Another hidden gem along the NL coast line in the new world islands region.

Drive almost to the very end of Pike's Arm Road. On the left you'll see a sign for the "Lookout" as well as a small dirt road that curves uphill to a small parking lot. The trail head is right in that parking lot.

The initial walk up the hill to the lookout is very easy. There are some wooden stairways and some small dirt trails. Along the way are small red huts to get in out of any inclement weather. Once at the top there is a lookout platform offering spectacular views, as well as bathroom facilities. A great location for a picnic lunch.

If you are more adventurous, you can hike out from the lookout platform onto small trails that traverse the coastline. Be very careful as these pass close by the steep cliffs and are not clearly marked - this is very much "use at your own risk" territory. That being said, you will be rewarded with some incredible views of the NL coastline, icebergs when in season and plenty of shore birds.

If you're into hiking and photography this is a great way to spend an afternoon, or all day. It's an easy family event up to the lookout area, but not suitable for young children if you plan to hike out further afield.
