This chapel was built for the reigning king in the 13th century and his remains are somewhere in the area. Walking distance from the monastery - beautiful views of the area. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

It is a small, cozy church, built in 1220. Actually it is a part of Kecharis Monastery, but it is situated about 120 meters far from it, on the other side of the road taking to the rope-way. You can visit it on your way to the rope-way, it will take you max. 30 minutes to go there and see everything.

It is a small chapel belonging to the nearby monastery. There is a steep path climbing up to it from the village or you can take the road too. Nice panoramic view.

Saint Harutyun church located just a few walking distance behind the popular Kecharis monastery, so if you decided to go to visit the Kecharis monastery, do not miss this place.

Nearby but separated from the Kecharis Monastery complex, the church of Saint Harutyun is tiny compared to its much larger neighbor. The small church as built in 1220 and it stands remarkably intact. I really liked the Saint Harutyun church because it is so petite... cute even. Highly recommend you take an extra 15 minutes and pop over to this small site standing just adjacent from the Kecharis Monastery.
