Bench Brewing Company is proudly situated in the benchlands of the Niagara Escarpment. Home to Ontario’s finest agricultural lands, our farmhouse approach to craft brewing will capture the unique terroir of the region just as it does for wine. Breathing new life into the historic Maple Grove Schoolhouse in Beamsville, our site features a three-acre hops field, a barrel-aging and wild ale program, a taproom, beer garden and food kitchen. We invite you to visit our brewery, experience the charm of the region, and taste the beer from wine country.

We stopped in to try a few beers on our way by. They have a nice selection of beers from lagers to IPA’s. Definitely something for everyone here. We also had the nachos. They were fantastic. Good food, good beers, and excellent staff.

Ok what a great location and outdoor area
Food was excellent
Beers were ok. Not enough flavour for me which I assume is they don’t let them ‘lager’ spend time developing flavour. But all good and I will be back

The menu badly needs to be improved! My friend ordered the greek bowl and didn't even finish half of it. Myself and 2 others had the pulled pork..mediorce at best. Will not be returning...on the positive..staff attentive and venue lovely.

Have visited more than a half dozen times, as I really like the location and the work they put into the building. The servers are great and the food is great. I like traditional lagers and pilsners, and normally they have neither, predominantly IPAs and sours. On the website it listed 2 lagers, so we gave it another try. Excellent beers, but now the prices have gone through the roof! A 473 ml can sells for $3.35, I can live with that, but to sit down and drink on site costs $8 for a 12oz. glass. With tax and (small) tip, as the server can't give change for cash, it is $10 per beer. No way guys! Food prices have increased as well. I won't pay that again.

A lovely sunny St. Paddy's Day and 17 degrees Celsius just drew out the crowds to this terrific spot along the beautiful Highway 8 in Niagara wine country. If you choose this as a destination just enjoy the day and don't balk at the prices.
Brewery has a terrific selection of craft beers, however, $8 for a smaller glass than a pint for sure is a bit much for an on-site product. Food is very delicious without a doubt and rightly so ....although PRICEY!!!
Mac & Cheese for $20 is a bit much and the BEEF DIP SANDWICH for $24 is a bit of an exorbitant price point. True, the beef was a generous portion and soft served of a fresh, crusty but soft bun and served with a nice mixed and arugula salad but PLEASE serve it on a large plate so it doesn't fall all over the table.
If you want to save yourself some time, order TWO bowls of the au jus/gravy as on is needed for each half. And if you like HORSERADISH....order some ...but BEWARE....this stuff is GOOD and will hit the back of your eyeballs if you get too much!!!!

Since the weather was bright and sunny it seemed a brewery visit was in order ! This brewery has a lovely outdoor patio and an impressive array of beer choices. I decided to try a flight of beers including Stone Road , Jordan Harbour , Cherry Wildwood and Clear Slate. All were enjoyable . For eats I chose the Bench Cubano ! I have always enjoyed Cubanos when we visit Florida and never see them on menus here. It was delicious and a good portion size for sure!Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere was relaxing and fun. Looking forward to a return visit when weather permits.

We stopped here for lunch as part of our wine tour. It was a great place with great food. They were very accommodating to my food allergies and we had yummy sandwiches. I had the roast beef which was amazing. Would have liked more au juice to go with it but if I asked I am sure they would have accommodated. Steve had the grilled cheese and he said it was delicious. They have a great variety of beers. I am not a beer drinker and they even had something that appealed to me. If you can, give this place a try.

Were going to visit Tawse but want to eat before - Tawse suggested to visit Bench
Brewery- Nice installations, we could eat under a big tent with tables or outside on their patio or inside. We opted for inside - at the 2nd floor- high tables with stool chair.
We shared nachos and chicken wings with IPA and Lager beer - Our friend also took a soup. Service was quick and friendly - food and beer was delicious.
Great reference from the winey - happy to been there = will definitely returned

Beer was amazing, food was unique and extremely enjoyable. We were there on a lovely sunny day and were treated very professionally by Hilary. Her knowledge, smile and energy added to our lunch and tastings.

What an awesome lunch! Our family is from Alberta and we have some pretty good local breweries. But Bench was amazing. The beers were delicious, the food was spectacular and our server, Stephanie, was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Go here and enjoy “The Beer from Wine Country!”
