Love Downderry, plenty of space for everyone, great for dog walking, people meeting, strolling and paddling. Very close to amenities for toilets and cafes (can recommend the Blue Plate café/restaurant). Easy parking!

Used to come here as a child and hadn't been here for a long time but very disappointed with the cleanliness. Dogs are obviously allowed on here and sadly some of the owners think it's ok to leave the mess lying around for the sea...More

Went here with the whole family recently, and was slightly dismayed by the amount of litter and dog faeces left behind. Not great for having up young children around, especially as several metal bottle tops were buried in the sand which can cut little feet....More

Just pick up your rubbish and dog poo please , why woud you not do this on this amazing beach ? This is a special location so please respect it . Appalled at detritus and bad dog ownership from those who visit this special place

A lovely beach, dog friendly and full of rock pools and facinating pink and green rock. We spent two very happy mornings there with our dog.

Lots of rock pools at low tide, easily accessible for kids and can walk to Seaton beach. Highly recommend.

lovely place for long walks, lots of rock pools. Not sure how high the tide comes but need to keep your eye on it. Lovely to walk to Seaton after eating at Inn on the Shore.

One of the last dog friendly beaches around, stunning views and easy walking all the way to Seaton. Cafe and bars local worth even just a visit for a look. Spectacular seas in winter and surfer world..

Nothing official, but I believe naturists have used a section of beach at the very far eastern end which is a separate section of beach completely and only accessible if you clamber over a section of rock at low tide. I walk... More

From recollection there is a proper car park and parking when we visited was quite easy. Well worth a stop and visit. I have no idea what the cost was because we parked in the car park at the cafe on the beach. It was... More
