Myself and my partner visited here for the first time on Sunday 7th May and what a lovely couple of hours we had. First of all I think it's worth pointing out that this is a relatively small place and not on a grand scale like a large country estate garden. We were lucky enough to visit whilst the bluebell... Called into the nursery today whilst on a long walk as we were in need of a drink. We went into the Cafe and were greeted with a very warm welcome. It was a tough decision on what cake to have, as there were several choices, but we plumped for the 'coffee & walnut' and were not disappointed. The best... More

Lovely garden, with a few different sections. Tea room and toilet as well. Very large nursery and plant selling operation! Pay only entry into garden. What a wonderful delight the bluebell wood was! We discovered it at just the right time!

Having a garden open to the public once a year concentrates the mind on obtaining unusual plants and Sue Beesley often has new plants that we want to grow. Being local and bearing in mind that I think all of hers are produced in the nursery they are likely to flourish in our own garden. They are also of a... More

We walked to the gardens and nursery from our the spot on the canal where we had moored our narrowboat. They have a small tea room & we enjoyed a cup of tea and some homemade cake. The tea room is very modest (we were hoping for sandwiches) but the cake was very good. My wife toured the garden and... More

This is a proper plant nursery! The garden is lovely to visit - even though it rained throughout our visit. Great for getting an ideas for beds and combinations. Toilets & DIY tea room. Forget it if you want to buy pots, pans, clothing & bling! Garden centre free; garden visit £3.50.

We called in on a dog walk to this little gem of a nursery with cafe! Good Dogs are welcome to sit outside and water is provided for them. We had some delicious cakes and a couple of drinks which energised us for the rest of our work. They even had a gluten free cake which was to die for!!!... More

Costs 3.50 to enter the garden. This was right up my street - cottage garden full of beautiful flowers with impressive heights that put my own garden firmly in it's place. It's a decent size to wander round, but won't take hours. Thee is a woodland I believe, but we didn't see this. The lady who we bought our tickets... More
