Just got back from Bonnechere, spent 4 days there. Peaceful, quiet, relaxing. Great time of year to go if you don't mind the very cool nights. Excellent walking trails, very clean park. Will return.

Just got back from 9 days in Bonnechere Provincial Park. The most notable thing about Bonnechere is the very, VERY, sandy beach with shallow water for the little ones. The rope boundary covers a huge area but the water depth is still only to mid...More

Spent 3 days at Bonnechere Provincial Park. The park is great, there is a small trail, beach, comfort station. I'd highly recommend canoe or kayaking the river, it's a lot of fun. Easy to rent the equipment from the park office.

A bit more of a sedate experience compared to some of the bigger alternatives in the same neighbourhood, this park still delivers on everything that someone needs from a provincial park. We were just here for a late evening swim on a hot summer day,...More

We went for a walk through the snow. It was very peaceful and there were few other people. There are no facilities open.

We stayed at the park for 6 days in July 2017 . Our site was beautiful, right on the river with great access for canoeing, kayaking, fishing and swimming. The current was very strong and the water was quite cool. We wish the weather had...More

A place to go walk, hike and relax. You should spend the afternoon, or morning, taking in all the scenery, you may see deer, raccoons, small reptiles and other small animals

The interior sites would have to put their canoes/kayaks into the river at the boat launch which is close to the main beach. As for swimming in the river, I am not sure. I have seen people fishing from the banks but I have... More

You would have to ask at the Park office or at the Davenport Centre, where the park store and visitor centre are located. They're open only for limited hours right now because it is the off-season.
