Very pretty in the fall

The lake itself is beautiful. The park in Cobden has many view points of the lake. The park is quite bland itself, but the beauty of the surroundings make up for it

Loving it!

I live on Muskrat lake and the Sunsets are to die for! It is an amazing lake for kayaking, canoeing and fishing. There are algea blooms but there are lots of people that do still swim, but I live on the opposite side of the lake from Cobden.

Beautiful Lake

Muskrat Lake is definitely beautiful and, if staying on the lake, the sunsets can't be beat! Swimming and boating are good activities here but do be aware that blooms of blue-green algae can impact whether or not swimming is an option.

Fishing trips

I have Fished on the lake extensive and I recommend it for any serious Bass anglers. This lake gets a lot of traffic however. April through October are great times of the year to visit

Great fishing

The boat launch is in Cobden and is well maintained. The lake is amazing for fishing for boating and for spending some quality time on the waters or near the waters. Wide variety a fishes and as all respectful lake it has a monster and a great story.
The monster can be seen from time to time, and the story can be found speaking with the locals.
