My family has been going to Hidden Valley Springs since the 80's, so now 4 generations. We return each and every time when in the Philippines because it is an amazing place to spend the day. In the middle of nature, it remains clean and unchanged, except for the shower facilities, which if you have been going for as long as we have, were a welcome upgrade.
It is a trek to get to (it's called Hidden Valley!) but well worth it once inside. Day trips include lunch and merienda which are good! It is a small family run business, which I personally love. Sir Carding is still there, still kind and still smiling. I do not say this lightly, but he could teach a master class in Philippine Hospitality and heart warming to see he is there. It says a lot about a business when they are able retain their staff for so long. Visitors are a mix of both locals and travelers. If you like natural springs, and love being in nature, could not recommend Hidden Valley enough.

On site you have the opportunity to relax in various pools that have different temperatures.
At lunchtime and in the afternoon you have the opportunity to eat something on site. At lunchtime there was meat, fish, rice, soup and noodles. Plus salad and various fruits. Absolutely sufficient, but not suitable for vegans. There were various rice cakes for snacks. You could choose between water and tea. Other drinks were available for an additional charge.
The park is very large and you can also take a walk or two. However, if you want to go to the waterfall you should be a good walker. The last part in particular is a bit adventurous. But there is a guide on site who can help. The atmosphere at the waterfall is beautiful.

We left Manila around 10 am and got there at 12:30. There was traffic, but it moved along the way. When we got there, we had to pay at the entrance gate, CASH only. Then we went to check in. No outside food or snacks allowed in, so I had to return the potato chips I got for my kids to the car.
We had a buffet lunch, which was not all that appetizing. They could have had a bit more variety, especially for kids.
After lunch, we headed to the falls 5 min walk. We got a cabana and relaxed for the day.
The dressing rooms are clean and well maintained
Staff are so kind and the management really really cares for this place.
Driving back to Manila from 5 pm was a headache. There is so much traffic
We got the hotel at 8:30 pm.

Excellent natural environment. Tasty local food.
1.5-2 hours drive from Manila is jungle paradise.
Great option for day trip.
Pity that chalets are not operational for overnight stay.

After traveling on a rough road to visit Hidden Valley Springs resort we were turned away at the entrance. The only option was an expensive per person buffet which we were not interested in. We certainly would’ve paid for a snack/drinks and even an entrance fee to see the touted beautiful valley. But, no options offered - literally “our way or the “Highway“ “. I cannot say that it’s not their right obviously to only offer the buffet option but it just seems like they’d want to be a little more accommodating to prospective guests.

Very nice place to commune with nature but a little pricey for not so outstanding food. Locker fee of 500 is refundable. Better to go on weekdays ( we went on a thurs) where visitors are few and u can enjoy the place more

Within two hours of Manila and well worth visiting. There's a Php 2,200 entrance fee which includes buffet lunch and afternoon snack (drinks are not included). Expect to have Filipino cuisine, done well and with a good selection. The pools are clean and well-maintained and if you go on a weekday, like our group did, you'll have most of the pools to yourselves. The falls is also worth the trek. Loved the bamboo boardwalk! Clean showers and toilets are also available. All in all, it's pretty good value as the place is kept in pristine condition, the pools are very relaxing and the food is an excellent representation of local cuisine.

The location of the resort can be daunting without a GPS navigator. It was located in the middle of a forest like area and was far from the main road. The good thing was the roads were all paved making driving smooth. Only in the last stretch that it got rough and partially cemented. We entered the gated resort and paid at the guard. Our change and receipt were to be given at the reception area. At Php2200 per head, this was an expensive day tour.
Pros
-close to nature, quiet , very relaxing, well maintained resort
-pools have clean surroundings, warm water , depth is appropriate
-ample parking area
-senior citizen card is accepted
-polite staff
-shower area is clean and air conditioned
-dining area is spacious and airy; dinner wares and tablecloth are clean
-male staff overseeing each pool area and at the waterfalls
-trek to the falls and the waterfalls itself is gorgeous
Cons
-Resort fee is expensive
-There is no added value at the reception area except staff giving your change and receipt.
-No map of the resort or map in the resort. Management could either give out flyer or install maps in strategic areas to let guests know they are
-Long queue at the buffet table. This resort has been in the business for so long and yet management & staff dont see the predicament of the guests during lunch time. They could have made two lines at both sides of the buffet table to shorten the waiting time.
-Food is bland and nothing special. Dishes are ordinary. Management should try to taste the food they serve
-There was no improvement in the dishes as we overheard from a second timer.
-Tissue rolls at the toilet are not replenished on time
-Staff manning the pools are quite stiff; they could be a little "warmer" when talking to guests or when giving directions
Generally, for nature lovers , the cons can be overlooked and just enjoy the natural beauty of the place. Experiencing the waterfalls is unforgettable.

We did not make it directly to Hidden Valley Springs, thanks to Google (and somebody who put the same place also further North on the map) we took a bit a detour. Anyway, reached the place and yes, the PHPesos 2,500 seems a bit expensive at the beginning. but you get a buffet lunch (salads, rice, meats, dessert), snacks later and the priceless experience of the clear water pools, surrounded by beautiful green vegetation. The price probably is also responsible that the place is as calm & serene as only a few other places, as families with kids tend to go to other places. Considering all the staff employed, the extensive maintenance which has to be done, the cleanliness, etc. I find the price correct. We enjoyed our Saturday trip and will go back again.

Also, do you accept credit cards? Please advise asap. Thanks.

Do we need a reservation for an overnight stay? How much? My husband and me? Thanks
Written July 20, 2018
I only stayed there for about 6 hours. It was a day trip. However; I did see some villas on the property. I’m not sure if they take walk-ins or if reservations are needed. I’m sorry I can’t provide a definitive answer.

The place is good but the service to ask during dinner is not much good. Nakakalungkot they priority the foreign nationals nabubulunan na kasama namin di pa kami mabigyan ng tubig. Do we need to be foreign nationals so that we can get a better service?

Best way to get there is by taxi or shuttle from your hotel. Always have your cab driver switch on the metre or negotiate the price before you go. Hope this helps :)
