We were buying a bunch of groceries that were going to sit in the car for a few hours. The only coolers we saw for sale were way too big for what we needed. Asked the lady if they sold anything smaller. They didn’t but she went and got us a smaller cooler she had and gave it to us. Amazing service! Such a nice lady! Store had a selection of everything you could think of. I could have browsed for an hour or so. Too bad we were in a hurry.

What a wonderful store and an amazing selection of various foods! This store brought back fond childhood memories of the general store my folks would take us to when we had a cottage north of Minden. Complete with a hardware section for those around the cottage/house repairs to movies for your DVD player on those cold nights inside, you can find everything here. Some of the specialty food here is a little pricey however but the quality is top drawer. The homemade goodies are outstanding but get there early as it goes fast when it's busy. What a gem!

Stopped on the way to visit relatives in the area. If you haven't been, stop by and its like stepping back in time. Lots to see and buy, Its a busy place that carries anything that you may need. Love this place, great baked goods and great friendly staff to help with your requests

Probably had the best pumpkin baked loaf ever there. Great variety of freshly baked goods. Assorted grocery, souvenir items also available.

The Rosseau General Storage is a historical landmark in Rosseau, Ontario. What is truly magnificent about this beautiful store is how even now the historical culture has been maintained. This working and well stocked General Store operates daily and you can find absolutely everything that you need, dairy, fresh foods, butcher shop, toys, souvenirs hardware, bathroom supplies, locally made products, old fashioned scooped ice cream and so much more. This is a must stop while travelling through the beautiful village of Rosseau. You will feel the charm of this, (one of the only original general stores existing in Ontario) from before you go in and of course throughout the entire building! Be sure to say hi to Lori and her terrific team while you are there!

You need it they have it. Great old fashioned General Store. Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful town to walk around. Worth the stop for a hundred reasons.

A classic general store with a good meat department, hardware and tools, good selection of cheeses, basic veggies, cookies, even homemade muffins... everything from bird seed to pie plates. Open year-round.

The Rosseau General Store is the heartbeat of the village of Rosseau: you step back into another era when you enter the store, with its plank floors and memorabilia-lined rafters. The store has stood in this location for well over a century, serving locals as well as cottagers and tourists. The people are incredibly friendly, and the wares range from staple foods to gourmet items, with a well-stocked hardware annex. I live in Rosseau, and I can get 90 percent of what I need at this store, no matter what the situation, be it a meal preparation or a renovation. Lots of fresh, local produce in the summer, and a full butcher counter at the back. It's not just the convenience that keeps people coming back, though...it's the sense of history and of home.

The Rosseau General Store has been in operation for years. Laurie and Brian, relatively new owners, have given the store a much needed updating. Great staff and offers just about anything you could want. Their ice cream shop next door is great.
