What a great ruin, very informative visitors board explaining the origins and original owner of the castle, who’s epitaph can be found in the local church, and all for free!

Super place to visit to just while away a couple of hours. Take a picnic or visit a local pub for lunch. Just chill and relax. Great for the children to explore and interesting to see how these old castle were built etc.

Spent a pleasant hour or two sat in the shade of the castle eating a picnic and then wandering inside. A small but interesting ruin with a decent information board and very pretty to look at.

Worth visiting for a walk around if in the area. Some outer walls still there but internal is in ruins. Pretty location and a good pub nearby which serves a nice meal.

This is a small castle ruin, about the size of a fortified manor house, surrounded by a moat. Doesn't take long to visit, but well worth the time.
