Excellent park to hike, ride a horse or a horse buggy, and bike

Our local friends took us here for a horse drawn buggy ride inside the park. We went in the morning before the crowds and had a lovely hour going on the buggy around the park. We got to see herds of different types of deer. There were some rare white deers too. There is a Royal hunting lodge which has... More

A very beautiful forest with a combination of old oak trees, grassy plains and small lakes. Perfect for a relaxing walk or trail running. And you are almost certain to see several of the many deers up close.

As a nature lover, I found this park exciting. We saw hundreds of deer. They have three including fallow, red stag and sika. We took a horse-drawn carriage ride. Beware that they normally don't line up until about 10 a.m., so if you want an earlier slot you can arrange that. I had a difficult time in connecting with anyone,... More

Parking: Check where to park before you go! We followed the line of vehicles into the amusement park parking lot and it cost us 60kr. There may have been other parking available around town and I recommend you looking first. Parking is very crowded. Crowds: Go early to avoid the amusement park crowd. We went specifically for the nature walk... More

Dyrehave is a lovely escape from Copenhagen (get on the S Train to Klampenborg). Beautiful forest with beautiful deers. Really calm and peaceful. A good place to walk and relax for a morning or an afternoon. Tip: I hired a bike from the bike shop outside Klampenborg situation but I think it is better to walk the park. You see... More

Great city escape just 20 minuts from downtown Copenhagen with the S Train Line C The Deer park was originally fenced by the King to make his hunting more easy, and also the purpose to grow the oaktrees ready for the Navy. Everyone will find their own favorite spot in the park, but mine is the Golf course (Oldest in... More

One of the most amazing parks that somebody can visit in Europe, with deers be free into the huge are of the park. Less commercialiazation though (bakken) would be better

I love the deer park. The ancient oak trees coupled with thousands of deer make it unlike any other park. It's fun to watch the deer (and you will see them--if you are there and haven't seen any yet, just keep going) and walk or bike around the park. It's very easy to get to on either the S-train or... A wonderful forest with something for everyone for a day out of CPH. Take the s-train to Klampenborg and you will be right next to both the beach and the forest. From here you have many opportunities: 1) Hit the beach. Very small but nice beach - great for bathing, people watching and beach volley. Mainly young people 2) Walk... More
