Great for long walks and even greater experience by bike. One tip: if you want to see the deers, never take the main roads. Another tip: the deer are actually violent during autumns - mating season. So keep a distance or at least use a...More

Cafe Dyrehavn was our favorite daytime cafe to visit while in Copenhagen. Went there twice. Good food, great drinks, great people watching.

Dyrehaven used to be the royal hunting grounds and you will still see the royal hunting lodge in the center of the grounds. If you have been to Louisiana, you might already have seen it at the top of the hill on the left hand...More

This is a free park which contains an amusement park which is the worlds oldest. A must watch while in Copenhagen. It takes like half an hour to drive or take public transportation.

What a wonderful park. I biked here and then enjoyed biking through the park all afternoon. There are some hills so be warned! The space is beautiful, going from wooded and covered to open fields. I absolutely love the deer here. I stumbled upon a...More

Great place to visit since the train stops here and you can enjoy a walk all the way up to "Bakken" where the kids love to have fun. The adults can enjoy a good meal and something to drink while the kids enjoy themselves...

How does one actually drive into Jaegerborg Dyrehave since today (was) a Wednesday? I spent a few days trying to search for details of how to drive into the park up to Eremitageslot, in preparation for today (Wednesday). The official park website says that one can do so via the Trepileporten gate. Trouble is this gate is hard to find on both Google Maps and the TomTom I was using. The closest point I found was Trepilevej, but there's no drive-through gate, just practically a dead-end. Left Trepilevej, and found an open red gate further down the main road, only to be chased away by an elderly local who says there's no such rule which allows driving through the park on Wednesdays. I wasn't going to drive through that gate in the first place - I was trying to check out the park's map to find other drive through points. In the end, left the place feeling very disappointed having not found the way to the heart of the park. In case you're wondering, it was raining all of today, and I was travelling with an elderly who can't walk much, thus the need to drive.

Hi, the right gate is Hjortekaerport ( gate) accesible from Hjortekaervej, but it is only open for cars on Wednesdays sunrise-sunset time. Alternatives are to take S-train to Klampenborg station and hire a horsecarriage... More
