The zoo is well done. There are plenty of interesting animals to see and their enclosures are good. It is a small zoo.

It was TOP. even by rain. There where less visitors and the animals came out to play as no one disturbed them. My kids being very exited, the did not disturb other visitors and neither the animals. They animals seemed happy to have interaction with my kids. The employees where so kind and the service in the restaurant TOP. We experienced the feeding of some animals and my kids liked it much.

This is a mid-size well-kept zoo just 15 minutes outside of Lausanne. It is an ideal place to take kids who like animals as there is a good selection from rabbits to bison on to tamarind monkeys and finally tigers and lions, as well as many colourful birds.

Nice day outing with kids. The place is large and clean. You have restaurants and picnic areas. Enough shade for sunny hot days. Every enclos can be looked at from various sides. This has the advantage to let you avoid crouds and also find the animals that may be hidden on the other side.

You can combine the visit with the tropiquarium if you feel like.

It is a pity there is not staff watching the visitors apply the rules in closed ares (maximum number of persons and compulsory masks that is ignored by some)

Nice little zoo to visit with kids. Not too big and well organized in a natural environment, 10 minutes from Lausanne.
Don't expect to take your breakfast in the cafeteria before visiting the zoo... but there is a game place available as your kids will maybe not be concentrate enough for a continuous attention to the animals.

I went there in winter with my sister and her mate on the 25th December. We spent about 2.5 hours there. We saw quite a few animals, though some were not outside cause it was winter and quite cold. The zoo is well maintained and kept clean, and the paths for walking were well cleared of snow. We brought our own lunch, and so I can't comment on the restaurant. All in all, we spent a nice time in the nice little zoo.

So, I went with my son in the stroller by bus, train and a lot of walk, approximate 1h35min from Lausanne to the Zoo.
It was such a sad experience !
The animals had all small cages, they looked sad and had lost a lot of fur and feathers. Many of the animals that live in packs went all alone.
I think people come here to eat fries and drink coke!
I stayed for 40minutes and took the long trip back home to Lausanne.

The zoo is pretty clean and well maintained.
The animals look healthy and kept very well.
There could be more informations about the species and maybe more zookeepers to talk with the visitors.

Compared to other zoos, this is nothing special. Animals were most of them sleeping or just lying on the floor. Could be because we visited in hot weather. However the tropiquarium was very interesting and fun.
