Great place to watch fireworks

A good place to have a picnic. It is also a great place on Australia day to have an impromptu small game of cricket and watch the fireworks.

Hired a Hobi sailing boat from the boat shed located on the foreshore in St James Mitchell park. Great fun. Great scenery too.

We pass this foreshore quite frequently as we use the ferry at Mends St jetty on a number of occasions. Nice to walk along here and the esplanade and watch some local activities.

The view looking back across the Swan to Perth city in absolutely beautiful be it day or night. But at night is when it blossoms. The walk from mt accommodation to an eating venue it spectacular. People come from far and wide to "dine" on the river bank and enjoy the magnificent views on Perth. What a fantastic part of... More

If you like an invigorating walk (or cycle) and the weather is fine, I think it is hard to beat the South Perth foreshore. You can walk for what seems like miles (and it probably is) on the path beside the Swan River with wonderful views across the sparkling waters to Perth's city skyline along the entire route. And on... More

While staying in Perth we read a damming tripadvisor report in the West Australian Newspaper from tourists who had visited Perth and also Rottnest Island. They must have been on another Island. The city is amazing with so much to see and do. Rottnest has to be my most favourite place to visit. It is such a relaxing place to... More

South Perth foreshore is lovely to have a walk and check out the views of the city from the Southside. There's a lovely park for the kids and nice walking path. For me, I prefer Elizabeth Quay and the walk along Perth foreshore from Claisebrook to Bell Tower and further.

This is arguably the best vantage point to obtain iconic photo shots of the Perth city skyline ... that any one with a camera or smart phone can capture without any training :) ... enjoy !!
