I can't speak much to this beach as a spot for playing, snorkeling, or all the usual beach activities. What drew us here was the abundance of rocks, trees, and even fallen trees right near the water. This was a gorgeous place to take some...More

Grab some snacks from Puako General Store, a mat, and your snorkelling gear and find a spot under a tree (note that there's lots of beach to the left of the entrance). You're going to have a great day. Perfect for early in your trip...More

We stopped by this beach (known as Beach 69) in the afternoon and are so glad we stayed through sunset! It is absolutely gorgeous with white sand, huge trees and rocky outcroppings. It is small and you can swim, especially on the far end. It...More

Beach 69 is a really cool beach due to all its lava rock formations and plentiful trees, some with ropes attached so you can swing into the ocean. If you go on a weekday, you can set down under a shady tree and enjoy this...More

This beach is a great spot. The trees give it a completely different feel that you don't get at other beaches. There is a ton of shade and some snorkeling. Nice for kids.

We did not spend a lot of time here, just a park and walk. There are so many good beaches in Kohala and we only had 5 days. The $5 parking pass from Hapuna is good here so you do not have to pay twice....More

Gorgeous beach that we enjoyed fully all day. Great boogie boarding for all ages, nice sand and driftwood, shade from the trees, easy to access from the parking lot. Highly recommended.

This has been one of my favorite beaches for many, many years. Although the road is paved now, so many more people on the beach, but can always find a little quiet spot!
