Especially at this time of the year, with the rainy season, the trail is extremely muddy...but once you get to it you are in awe! Walk around the corner and find a rock to seat on and enjoy the spectacle! Because it is! The sea performs its best for you. We sat there for an hour and never got tired.... More

This Queens Bath is the one on the Big Island of Hawaii. Not the one that is on Kauai. It is a lava tube filled with fresh water and goat droppings all around it. Way different than the one on Kauai. I thought it was going to be super interesting.. Nope, not at all. It was a complete disappointment. My... More

This is a must visit and get in when in Kauai. But (1)you need to make sure you come during low tide. (2) Bring shoes or some thing with a grip to walk down the trail. (3)Have patience for finding a parking spot. (4) most important! Remember your not in Disneyland your in Kauai no one is there to ensure... More

A friend I met at my hostel told me about Queens Bath or I never would've known it existed. You have to drive back through a neighborhood that says not to enter... Then you find a dirt parking area that doesn't fit in with the rest of the landscape. Park there and the trail is just to the right. It... More

I am all for historical and culturally significant sites, but this is an exception. The trail to get here is much too treacherous. It's slick, sloped, and narrow. One wrong move can put you in a bad spot. Better to see it from the air.

During winter, waves are high and strong, so no swimming in the bath is possible. The hike is very nice though, passing along a stream with couple of small falls. Dramatic views of the ocean near the baths. There is a small unmarked parking lot at the top, from which the trail starts. Walking time is 15~20 minutes.

My husband and I walked to the trail head at 7:15 in the morning on a Monday. We met a group coming up who had just watched the sunrise. The hike down to Queen's Bath was full of roots and was a bit slippery. We wore running shoes which helped a lot. We walked over the lava field ( you... More
