I was booked in with my wife to do the full day 6 dish course. My wife is not so much of a cook and had been booked in buy the travel agent by mistake. Well that was lucky for everyone. I was with a really good mob on a tour but they'd only booked for half a day 4... More

I spent a great evening at the cookery school learning how to cook traditional Thai dishes. First we started with a shopping trip to the local market to buy the ingredients and then off to the school to start cooking dinner. The venue was fantastic. Very well equipped with everything ready for us to get started. The staff could not... More

We were looking forward to a Thai cooking class and were thrilled with our time at Baan Hongual. We had so much fun, laughed a lit while we learned a lot, and we devoured the fruits of our labours! We made green curry, pad thai, tom ka gai, and mango sticky rice. Generous portions and generous teaching ensured us of... More

Learning to cook Thai food was made fun and easy at this cookery school. One of the best activities we participated in. They are very professional and organized. Staff handle all the details and help you move through the process successfully. It all starts with a trip to buy all your produce fresh at the market. That's an experience in... More

Great cooking school for lovers of Thai food. Part of fee structure is a cookbook of recipes used in the classes. One distracting point is the gas lever is right where one stands to stir the food--it needs to be moved! Food purchased at market visited according to student choices of menu items.

This was our sixth Thai Cooking School and it was a great experience. We signed up for the all-day course with six dishes and were pleasantly full after a day of cooking and eating. The course started (as did all the others) with pick-up at our guesthouse and then a tour of a local market to purchase the ingredients for... More

This was so much fun from the beginning to the end. We began by shopping at the local open market for the ingredients we would need for the dishes we would prepare. Amporn Hongnual was so much fun. She was able to explain all about the produce we were buying and answered all our questions. Then we went back to... More

If you have any interest in Thai food don't miss this spot. Yes family run but very professional. Our group of seven were thoroughly impressed with the facilities and the dishes we managed to prefer under superb instruction and patient guidance. We were even individually offered choices for what each one of us wanted to prepare. We all received a wonderful... More

Our hotel setup a class for us at Baan Hongnual and boy were we lucky! They picked us up from our hotel on time and started off the day at the market where our teacher showed us all the ingredients we'd be using! Once we reached the school, we entered this awesome facility. Very clean! They have complimentary coffee, tea,... More

I enrolled in this cooking class following recommendations from my friends who came recently during their stay in Chiang Mai. It was excellent! I called to make a booking on Sunday for the Monday morning class and the service was excellent. Got picked up from my hotel by Amporn and her brother in law right on time. After making our... More
