Wow ....very nice area, with 4 locations of dinoraurs findings. Numbers 1-2-3 and 9 to be exactly. Good preserved remainings of dinosaurs,: bones, skeletons and footprints. Also beautiful flora and variation of stones, rocks and sand in different colours ( from black to red). As a foreigner you pay 200THB. Thai nationals 40 THB. But worth it's money. Don't forget... There are some great places up here and Phu Wiang is one of them. Literally meaning Mountains Around Town it is true. Again looking at Google Maps you can see the formation created by an asteroid strike millions of years ago. Once you get to the hills the dir is cooler so it's great on a hot day. Don't have... We caught a mini bus service from KoenKhan that offers a pre arranged pick up time from the park .Driver a little erratic but that's another story . We had been quite excited to see fossils and had hoped for some wildlife as well . Temperature turned out to be about 36 C and the park was very hot and... More

This was a fun park with good hiking - though the combo of distance and heat were a bit much for our younger children - and some dinosaur fossils and foot prints to look at. It was a memorable stop on my family's Summer Tour de Thailand.

It takes two and a half hour drive from downtown Udon thani. I recommend charter a taxi for a whole day(8 hours) for 1800 B (1US=36B, US50) plus fuel fee like airlines, 500B. There are 3 parts. 1 st one is a rotary full of dinosauru. Wellcome center, it has a visitor center and a restrooms. Picture spot. 2 nd... More

The dinosaur fossils were nice but the hiking and views were even better. The only downside would be the difficulty for young kids and old people; my son is 7, and mother in law is 71, and both could do it, but it's a rough go for a short hike loop (2 kilometers), due to the uphill nature of a... Walking next to dinosaur prints in stone, 65 million years apart, was well worth the time. Museum is worth a few minutes at best. We rented scooters from Khon Khaen, rode the 12km north to the prints and then visited all sites by foot. Sites have buildings over to protect from public and climate but one site's door was open... The National Park is located off route 2038 just outside the town of Phu Wiang. Keep straight on at the roundabout where a large concrete dinosaur stands. Follow the sign posts. The road becomes a little narrow and twisting before you enter the park which is situated beyond the Dinosaur Museum on your left. There is a large car park,... More

This place is known for its dinosaur bones, but the beautiful views on the nature trail are also wonderful.
