Steep climb, but well worth it!

It is not a walk in the park with 5,5K upwards hiking and another 3,5K to the campsite. But it is worth it! There's food/drinks stations at every 1K, and it is quite beautiful to see the forest changing as you walk upwards. The camp site is (much!) bigger than I expected, and thereby also more people than I had... More

If you live to walk and hike. This could be the place. The hike is good with natural stairs and more challenging hike at the end of hike. The plateau at the top is a place to be explored. Many cliffs and waterfalls to be checked. This is just like an adult nature adventure. Though you can bring your kids... More

Amazing! The trip is a little bit hard, but I did it with my (not so sportt) 52-years old mom, and we made it in 3,5 hours. It's really amazing! When you get on the mountaintop, you can hire a mountainbike to get to the visitors center, or walk. We watched the sunset at Mak Dook. The morning after we... More

Last week I went to Phu Kradeung for my first real solo hike. I flew from Phuket to Bangkok, then Bangkok to Loei. From Loei, I walked across the street and took a bus to Phu Kradeung town (49THB). From the town I took another ride, a motorbike taxi, to Phu Kradeung station and paid 60 THB. I got in... More

Waited 25 years to climb Phu Kradueng mountain , always something got in the way, but this year depute me now in my 60's and my wife in her 50's we were determined to do it. It's tough going up and took us about 8 hours, plus a long walk to the chalets. If anything coming down is worse on... More

It was really fun and tough. However, once you be there, you will forget everything. The sunset is so magnificent also, the sunrises. Time to be alone here without burden. I will definitely come here again.

I live in Bangkok. I never want to climb up Phu Kradueng before. One day ;in the end of rainy season; my best friend asked me to go up there. I'm in boring mood and I said yes. On the way up is hard but not that hard ,and up there is Superb!! **No need to prepare food or tent,... More

This was a spectacular and unexpected Thai experience. The camping and bushwalking at the summit was made all the more enjoyable for the hard work to get there. And yet no matter how fit you think you are, it's truly humbling to see the amazing porters bounding up the mountain carrying huge loads of back packs balanced on bamboo across... More

We spent 2 days in Phu Kradueng national park in February 2016. I can share some practical advise. To reach the park you need to take a collective taxi at Phu Kradueng for 30B. On arrival, the entrance is 400B, the rent of the tent 225B. You can rent sleeping bags, pillows, and mattress at the top for 50B/pers. We... More
