I've been many times now, and it continues to evolve and improve, and at times we've been lucky enough to see local artists work on display in some of the rooms as well. The wine tasting is a lovely addition to the entry ticket too.

Cloudy skies but dry, a visit to the Château. A visit to see the chateau plus the views of the vines, which were beautiful! Délicieux dégustation des vins de Monbazillac, super bons 👍🏼 c’est à faire!

It is definitely worth driving or cycling up through the vineyards to the top of the hill to visit. The chateau itself is impressive and has great views though be aware that there is no furniture and the history is not as exciting as others....More

Renaissance Château de Monbazillac has such a lovely wine. Sauterne and Monbazillac are my favorite wines. Chateau Monbazillac produces very delicate wine and 2013 is not as sweet as 2014 wine, so we bought a few bottles to take back home to California. The panoramic...More

Several women from our touring group made the hike from town to this Chateau for a lunch & tour, and we were not disappointed on either front. The shop offers good prices on wine, the self-guided tour was pleasant, and the small outdoor cafe was...More

The chateau is rather mundane. I can understand why the local vineyard owner clubbed together to save the Chateau, but it is a tad dull, filled largely with unrelated exhibits. I'm glad we went though.

Fantastic visit with delicious and good value wines (including some half bottle options). Free tasting with English speaking staff, set up adjacent to the shop which means so you don’t feel under any pressure to buy, which is something I struggle with with some of...More

This combines culture and pleasure in equal quantities. The chateau is well preserved and has just enough artefacts to keep your interest. Afterwards you can enjoy a coffee and fruit tart (local speciality) before heading for a wine tasting. If you like sweet dessert wines,...More
