This centre and it's curator are a hidden treasure. We arrived with a load of kids in early April, the centre was completely empty and it appeared from the visitors book that we may have been the only visitors for a few days. The interpretive centre was very informative with some nice displays, elements had perhaps seen better days and... More

This is a lovely place. A bit out of the way but when you get there you will find it very nice and very interesting. Bring a picnic as there is lovely table and chairs to have one out in the open

After seeing this online we were so excited to go there for a nice walk with the dog. After arriving we were informed that dogs arent allowed at all and the place is more of an archeology site now than a walking path. We left incredibly dissapointed.

The Corlea Trackway Visitor Center was a delightful surprise. I found it on the OPW Heritage Sites map and stopped on a whim. So glad I did. The Trackway and Center are fascinating on many levels: the bog location; the prehistoric builders; the Trackway itself; and the story of the major recovery and preservation effort. It tells the story of... More

Hidden away in the peat bogs of Ireland is the visitor centre for this unique attraction. After watching a short film and a walk around the centre you get to see the trackway. Must say both the staff working there were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and recommended some other places to visit on our drive across to the west... More

After having visited Rathcroghan earlier this week, we decided we should do this one and Uisneach as well. We were not disappointed. The lady who showed us around had so much to tell, it was amazing. Highly recommended.

I spend a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon here on an overcast and cloudy day in august and it brightened up my day. I missed the start of the tour, which meant the Audio visual presentation was on when I came in. This gave me time to wonder the attraction of the center at my own pace. they give a great... More

We spent a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon at this visitors centre near Kenagh Co. Longford. What a marvelous building and from the minute we entered the front door we were captured. The main display room is circular with a beautiful domed roof. We were met by two very friendly and welcoming attendants Breda and Noel. Immediately Noel took us around the... More

One of my favourite places for bringing visitors. This was the fourth time i took the drive out, also the fourth time visitors (and i) were overwhelmed by the impressive building (out in the middle of nowhere) the friendly welcome and the knowledge, history, facts and legends that are FREEly shared by several enthusiastic guides.
