The Discovery Centre is a world-class ecotourism facility nestled in the heart of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. As the #1 Attraction in the Daintree it provides a wonderful introduction to this iconic world heritage destination. The spectacular Canopy Tower and Aerial Walkway allow visitors to explore every level of the forest and Audio Guides in 6 languages are a hit with overseas visitors. But it is it’s innovative Carbon Offset Project that is attracting attention! Part of every entry fees goes towards ‘saving the planet’ via its bio-sequestration scheme. The Discovery Centre is sustainable ecotourism at its best!

This place is amazing! The staff are very friendly, the various trails are beautiful and easy to follow, and the audio guide you get with entry is great for keeping the kids interested. We spent a few hours here and it was enjoyable in itself but then at the end we also saw a cassowary and baby cassowaries!!!!!! It won't... More

A visit to the Daintree rainforest is a must if someone's in the area. The drive from Cairns is beautiful itself, with a few gorgeous lookouts on the way. The rainforest is well kept, and lush green as far as the eyes can see, both horizontally and vertically. The best thing is, self-guided audio tours render the place peaceful and... More

We did the Discovery Centre while staying at Cape Tribulation in March 2017. The boardwalk are in excellent condition and at various height levels of the forest. It was easy-moderate hiking level. The tour is self guided with Audio Guides in 8 languages by number. They had a great Dinosaur exhibit "The Jurassic Forest" for kids/adults that moved. A 75... More

A very well thought out and presented attraction. We spent two mornings there, enjoying each of the five walks through the rainforest, reading much of the information, and watching the informative videos when it was raining!

We turned into this attraction without any preconceptions and were so pleasantly surprised at how amazing it was. The awesome audio tour completed 2 hours of enjoyment. Definitely try the bush-food sampler before you leave

This is a fantastic intro to the rainforest, a network of short pathways takes you into the rainforest canopy and the self guided walks are extremely informative with audio guide and book. There's also a section with info and video clips on cyclones, climate change, crocodiles, cassowaries etc which was very informative. I came away feeling very informed about the... More

The Daintree Discovery Centre is a must see. Despite the rain it was still an enjoyable walk around the rainforest. The staff are friendly and happy to answer any questions. Lots of information to read about the rainforest and reasonably priced.

Sure, it is 'north of the Daintree' which means an uncertain wait to take the ferry across the river, but it is worth it to get into the heart of the world heritage rainforest, where this gem of an attraction allows you a chance to get up close and personal with the rainforest. Excellent guides show you around, and there's... More
