All the displays were in Finnish, but I was provided with a booklet with English translations to follow along. Whimsical love letters, memorabilia, personal stories of interpersonal connections highlight the mundane, romantic lives and dreams of the residents of Vantaa. The exhibition tells the story of people living by the river Vantaa past 10 000 years. There is plenty to see also for children, for example they can find real Stone Age idols from a sandbox with real archaeologists equipment!

Pleasant & helpful staff. Old photographs & exhibits tell the story of the growth of Vantaa into a city. Much of the history features the river Vantaa which flows very close by. Entry is free
