We visited the information desk to inquire about the must see and must does in Haugesund. The lady explained in excellent English where to go and from where and how to use the public transportation.

The staff at the office are helpful and there is no problems switching to another language, if you are unable to understand Norwegian. They have lots of brochures in stock and also sell the odd memorabilia.

I don't know if there's a formal route per se, but the Brygge (wharf) is the center of Haugesund & there are many interesting sights nearby.
