Water and beach are clean, but could be windy and cold. Take a long walk instead of sunbathing. Nice hotel and restaurant on the beach. Golfcourse and airport close to the beach. Free parking.

Nice for a quick walk but dirty and surrounded by industrial roads. On the beach there is a river and the river had a sign warning that it has traces of human feces.

Very beautiful beach with white sand (very rare in Norway). It was cold that day when we visited, but it was still very nice to walk on the beach and kids enjoyed playing and running around.

My boyfriend and I have stayed in the Sola Stand Hotel and we enjoyed a very nice walk on the Sola beach. It's a nice beach with clear blue water and white sand. Perfect for a short walk.

Well worth a visit if you are nearby. Lovely fine sand and a nice place to walk along or sit and watch the waves. Can be a bit noisy as near to the airport but often the noise of the waves drown out the helicopters....More

Do not miss the opportunity to take a walk along this Beach. It's a mix of rough Norwegian coastline and comfartable sand Beach. Brilliant for a walk or a romantic evening

We have a day in Stavanger, docking at the cruise port. As we've been to Norway twice we would like to explore a beach rather than the town or fiord. How would we do this, please?
