Great place to spend some time relaxing in one of the many bars and restaurants overseeing the bay. A few shops around and good public transport

Malta around the capital Valletta is full of small coves and bays- St George's is one of them. Centered around a very pleasant beach of very small stones great for small children and bigger ones. There is a small shopping center with a number of British favorites- M&S food, Costa,Italian clothes, toy shops etc. There is some serious night life... More

we went there just to sit down a bit and relax. we were there in March so there was just a few couples and that is it. but it is not a really big beach so i imagine it gets very crowded in the summer. it is a sandy beach but the sand is not very fine.

St. George's Bay wasn't crowded when I was there for five days. Great places to sit, read, people watch. I went for a few good walks around the bay and liked its proximity to night life and restaurants. It's not as busy as St. Julian's Bay which was a plus for me since I wanted to be somewhere I could... More

Good for a small bay with a few shops and restaurants, but need to go into Valetta for more interesting things to do. Nice sandy beach with shallow water, good for kids to play on.

Though the beach looks like sand, it's actually made out of very little rocks. But nevertheless it's wonderful to sit here on a hot summer (or winter!) day.
