No trip to Block Island is complete without visiting the 2 picturesque lighthouses. The North light is a beautiful spot to catch a sunrise or sunset, with waves rolling in and the colors reflecting off the water. If you walk beyond the lighthouse you'll see a little driftwood shelter that seems to be rebuilt each year. I've never been inside... More

We parked up in the small car park and enjoyed a walk along the beach. We had a glimpse of a seal who sat and watched us as we walked by. Just a lovely sandy beach and dunes to explore. The lighthouse contains a small museum.

The lighthouse is refurbished with 5 rooms of exhibits - shipwrecks, local flora and fauna, and exhibits of the life of a lighthouse keeper. Worth the $3 admission. And a great destnantion after a beach walk.

The lighthouse itself is fine - it's located on a beautiful part of the island and you can knock out both the lighthouse and settler's rock easily on one trip here. You do need to walk along the beach / rocks to get to the lighthouse from the parking lot if you're so inclined. If you're mobility impaired or elderly,... More

To fully experience Block Island a visit to the North Lighthouse is a must. It's a walk but the views are wonderful and one can't miss this piece of history.

Just a stunningly beautiful lighthouse. Worth every penny of the $3. The two docents are excellent and knowledgeable, answered all questions asked. The half mile walk to get there was a nice walk along the beach as well. Don't miss this Landmark!

I did not have the strength to walk and get closer to the lighthouse but the site has also one of the best view. Again thank you for leaving it in its original state.

It was a 1 mile walk on a rocky/sandy beach from the parking area and we couldn't do it due the high waves from the aftermath of Hurricane Hermine but if it wasn't so stormy, we would of done it as it was a beautiful lighthouse to explore around on the northern tip of Block Island.

This was the last stop of our day. I wish it had been our first stop. We were travelling on bikes and its a bit of a ride. Once you arrive to parking area, its a bit of a walk out to the lighthouse. The walk is through the sand.

Nice hike on the beach out to the lighthouse. Also went all the way out to the point. The lighthouse's history is interesting. But unfortunately we were there in a Friday and it was no open. Was worth a stop on our bike trip on the island.
